What does this phrase mean?
What is a lifestyle? This is a set of individual concepts about the world, habits, traditions and moral principles. It is at the intersection of these factors that the style of human behavior is born. And yes, for most people it is the same. After all, many of us grew up in the same country, watched the same TV series and studied at schools and institutes according to the same programs. Therefore, it should not be surprising that such different individuals can have a similar lifestyle. What else influences it? Well, of course, the environment. People change each other, sometimes even beyond recognition.
My comment to the best answer from the thread
I disagree with the answer for two reasons.
- In the 20th century, it was easy to observe cases when a person was a hired worker throughout his life, without even rising to the level of manager. He could work his whole life in one company, being an excellent specialist and not really wanting changes.
- The question is what unites exactly the above lifestyles. That is, what do they have in common compared to those that we have not yet considered - the lifestyles of an entrepreneur and a rich person. And if we look closely, we will see that the main common characteristic of the above lifestyles is earning income only by spending one’s own time and energy.
The unemployed person is paid by the state for looking for work.
The TOP manager is paid by the owner for the time he works.
The hermit receives as many resources as he can only obtain himself.
They are all limited by the amount of their time. An entrepreneur and a rich person have the opportunity to generate income using other people's time and thus:
- Protect yourself from the risks of being left without income while you are not working.
- Scale your business and, accordingly, your profits.
Children's lifestyle
Everyone understands that a child cannot independently choose what to spend his time on. Parents select a diet, clothing, kindergarten and, as a result, lifestyle for their child. Children cannot refuse it. Even if the child does not want to eat porridge for breakfast, he will simply remain hungry, and in the end he will have to love the food that is offered to him. It's the same with all habits. The child does not want to get up, the parents still get him up, and if the child cannot sleep, no mother will allow him to walk around the apartment at night. From the above, it is quite clear that children’s lifestyle is shaped by their parents. What does it include?
- Schedule.
- Hygiene.
- Sport.
- Nutrition.
- Intellectual activity.
Reading this list, you can understand that children lead more active and sometimes even more productive lives than their parents.

Why do I always have no money?
Many people ask this question. And those whose standard of living seems to be above average, and those who sometimes save every hundred rubles. But you hear complaints about the constant lack of money from people of different financial levels.
Many of the reasons why a person does not have enough money are in his head, in his thoughts, beliefs, feelings, rules, principles by which he lives. Let's take a look at the main groups of reasons that cause a situation of constant lack of money.
About the dangers of the mantra “there is always no money”
Let's start with words. After all, this is exactly what you constantly say in conversations with friends, on the Internet, with family and friends. Although you are not telling the truth, you have money. At least a hundred rubles are in your wallet. And sometimes a lot more.
But you are used to saying this - “no money,” although this means “not enough money for a specific task, purchase, lifestyle” or “for a specific sense of self.” But there is money. And it’s better to stop telling yourself the opposite.
What happens if you repeat the mantra “there is no money all the time”? Man is fundamentally a whole being. And if he says something at the level of thought, words, he unconsciously begins to feel as if he has no money at all. And then he begins to act and behave like a person who has no money at all. That is, unknowingly choose precisely those options of action that lead to loss of money.
This is not mystical at all. Our psyche is structured in such a way that as soon as we form a certain scenario, a stable opinion, a belief, we immediately begin to “not notice” everything that does not belong to the scenario we understand.
So imagine, you have formed the scenario “I always have no money.” Accordingly, your psyche will filter those opportunities that could bring you money. They were and are around you, but you just don’t see them. Because you have created a program within yourself “I constantly have no money” and reinforce it with a constant daily mantra of negative content.
I assure you, if you start saying it as it really is: “I have money, but I would like to have more in order to...” - the situation will already begin to change. No need to believe - check.
Exploring your true needs
Very often, the “ always no money ” mode turns on in a person’s life when he does not spend on what he really needs. Who creates your needs?
Some of the majority of things are rather symbols of some kind of status, at least for a given social group, objects that are designed to earn you respect, but in reality you do not need. And they don’t inspire real respect - you’re just participating in the rat race that marketers have come up with for you.
How many real worries have I seen regarding the fact that “I only have one autumn jacket” (why exactly do you need two?) or “my phone model is already outdated” (but it still works?).
Add to this a bunch of goods, the need for which is artificially formed: for example, who actually checked whether a washing machine would break without Calgon? And what will happen if you don’t protect a person from germs with special soap? Or use “regular powder” and “regular toothpaste”?
We can write a separate article about how modern marketing has disrupted our own ability to regulate needs. But at this stage, just think about it and try to review your usual shopping list. You will see that a lot of money simply goes to waste.
There is a level deeper. Desires to go on vacation, build a house, buy an apartment, raise a child can be real. And you don't have money for all this. But is the trip necessary right now?
It happens that at some point the body needs passive rest without flights and adventures. Or your decision to buy an apartment will soon be reconsidered. For example, because you will come to the decision to live outside the city, and this will change your financial balance and open up new opportunities.
Listen to yourself carefully. No one devalues your plans. But everything has its time. Is it worth it to be torn trying to be on time everywhere, and creating an unnecessary feeling of inferiority if at the moment you still won’t be able to do everything to the highest standard?
As a rule, trying to fulfill all the supposedly urgent needs leads to the fact that you really feel trapped and you really do not have money all the time.
Try to hear the most important thing within yourself, what you need to concentrate on right now. As a rule, the same property of our psyche is at work here - the desire for integrity, unity.
If you isolate the important, find what you really want to embody now - your “I” is united, because both the mind, the body, and the feelings want this. And the united “I” can get you money for a specific purpose much faster than a mind divorced from the body and feelings, which “knows how to do it,” but cannot “figure out” how to get enough money.
Lack of self-confidence and the right to have enough
Do you think you really deserve to earn enough?
Try to hear yourself. When you ask yourself this question – how do you really feel? You can lie to someone, show off, and even demonstrably demand respect for yourself. But practice shows that if you constantly don’t have money, it means, alas, you don’t respect yourself enough to have enough.
Perhaps part of this feeling is due to the beliefs that your own family of origin taught you. For example, “it’s better to be poor, but decent”, “it’s impossible to earn a lot by honest work”, “all the rich steal”, etc. In our Soviet culture, in which many grew up, it was customary to contrast honesty and wealth. Is this opposition rooted within you?
It also happens that a person considers himself so worthless that he cannot imagine that anyone will pay enough for his talents, abilities, skills and knowledge. There is only one way for this - working with self-esteem and finding out for what reasons you, in fact, dislike yourself so much.
All of the above can be corrected by working with a psychologist, and if there is no money, then at least start reading relevant books, articles, asking questions on free forums and taking action.
I noticed that the most severe forms of lack of money occur in combination with a low level of people’s self-respect and what will be discussed below.
Lack of decisive and creative actions, fears
I am often told the following phrases: “there is unemployment in our field”, “in our market segment, only ....” or “well, where will I go with such and such an education, but it’s too late to learn new things,” etc. Supposedly objective reasons are presented for why there is always no money.
But along with this, I meet wealthy people who earn enough with the same education, in the same market segment, in the same area in which, according to others, there is unemployment and crisis. How are they so different?
The ability to try and act. The ability not to use only familiar schemes, but to approach questions creatively. Don't be afraid to come up with something new, don't be afraid to innovate, or just don't be afraid to put yourself out there and take action.
Yes, these people make mistakes, sometimes they lose something, get into some kind of conflicts, sometimes change jobs more often than others, etc. But in the end, they quite often remain “on horseback”. Because they do not operate only within the existing system.
Most people think like this: “I have such and such education, such and such experience, such and such skills,” now you need to find a vacancy with approximately the same list, and wait until they take it. And this is not the most difficult thing, there is a more stringent restriction: “a good job can only be found through an acquaintance.” Therefore, those who believe in this are moving practically nowhere.
The reason for this is fear. Fear of making a mistake, looking stupid, creating a bad impression, “missing a chance,” or “end up being useless.” Sometimes a person is afraid to change his job even to one offered through an acquaintance - “what if everything doesn’t go the way I want?” And it remains.
Sometimes people, even in stalemate situations, continue to remain hypnotized by the system. Example – a woman is left alone, without a husband, with a small child. You have to stand in line to go to kindergarten. And you can only “go to work”, from 9 to 6. Working on the Internet is “unreliable”, a student nanny is “scary”, working shifts is “not human”, work is not in your specialty, even if they hire you - “what if I can’t handle it”, etc.
The result is vegetating on a tiny allowance until it’s time to go to kindergarten, a lack of personal life and a feeling of being of no use to anyone.
At the same time, there are other examples - people who coped in even worse situations, and at the same time found job options without having any such special education, got along with student nannies, unraveled this tangle of life and even ended up winning.
I know of an example where a woman, left with two children without a husband or the support of relatives, created her own business in a year. Without investing a penny there. She simply studied the information and was not afraid to try.
If you constantly don’t have money, you should think about how you limit yourself. Whether through words, lack of self-confidence, those beliefs that limit your choice, narrow your possibilities, consumption of what you don’t really need, inability to hear your true desires, fear of trying and acting.
But those who look for the reasons for lack of money in themselves, take responsibility for the situation, and do not try to shift it to the “market”, “crisis”, “objective situation”, as a rule, find their way to prosperity. And those who continue to believe that their wealth may depend on some external factors are constantly waiting for something.
Sometimes they wait, although, as a rule, it’s too late. And more often than not, they don’t wait. And if you don’t want to join their ranks, start looking for the reason within yourself and working on it. And prosperity will definitely come. Don't believe me - check it in practice.

Healthy
What does this concept include? A healthy lifestyle not only means the absence of bad habits in a person’s life. But of course, he also implies this. After all, it cannot be said that a person leads a healthy lifestyle if he drinks and smokes.
To improve your body and physical condition, giving up alcohol and cigarettes is not enough. You also need to watch your diet. Stop eating fried, salty and spicy foods, start drinking more water and give up coffee. A person who wants to lead a healthy lifestyle needs to play sports. And here you can choose. If a person likes to run, then he can do his morning workouts outside. If a girl loves yoga, then she can practice it.
Would you like to devote your whole life to work and deprive yourself of freedom of choice?
I'm sure not. Would you like to retire at some point to live for yourself? I know for sure, yes.
Managing a portfolio of 5-10 apartments will at some point become difficult and difficult for you. You need to constantly report, pay taxes, take out insurance and other hassles associated with the maintenance and upkeep of your home. In addition, real estate is not that profitable. It binds the owner geographically.
If you transfer it to someone else for trust management, this will cause additional expenses and reduce your already low profits.
So what do you really want? Write down, record your desires for yourself right now. Don’t delay, because you simply won’t have any other time to do it.
Closed
What kind of behavior pattern is this? People who find pleasure in being alone should not be considered strange. After all, they simply do not need to communicate with others. This does not mean that they try to withdraw into themselves and not receive any new information from the outside world. For this purpose they have the Internet and books. Such people are not always hermits. They're just introverts. Not all people find pleasure in noisy drinking in nightclubs; some people prefer to spend the evening over a cup of tea, talking with their best friend.
Possible way out of the situation
Biologist Satchidananda Panda has been studying the connection between metabolism and the internal clock for more than ten years. He found that by restricting feeding time in obese mice, their health could be significantly improved. Time restricted feeding without reducing caloric intake prevents metabolic diseases in mice fed a high fat diet. . Even when they ate the same amount of food as control mice (they were allowed to eat around the clock), their weight and levels of internal inflammation decreased.
Panda then conducted an experiment on humans. To do this, participants recorded in the Mycircadianclock application what they eat and drink, including water and medications, simply by uploading photos to the application.
Data has shown that most people don't eat three times a day as they think - we often forget to count snacks. It turned out that a third of the participants eat eight times a day, and many eat late at night. For example, those who ate breakfast at six in the morning usually uploaded photos of sweets, pizza and alcohol closer to midnight. And the later it gets, the more you want to eat. This is our brain, thinking that we will not sleep all night, trying to stock up on energy.
The researcher believes that time-restricted eating can help cope with problems such as obesity and heart disease. Fasting, Circadian Rhythms, and Time-Restricted Feeding in Healthy Lifespan. .
Active lifestyle
Today it has become fashionable to travel and play sports. Therefore, an active lifestyle is at the peak of popularity. Many young people do not want to sit at home on their days off; they go to the mountains to ski or go to the sea to jump off cliffs. But lifestyle includes not only active recreation during the holidays. Therefore, adherents of this lifestyle go to the gym every day or every other day to keep their body in shape. People spend their holidays hiking or boating, for example, in Karelia. Often such people stand out from the crowd not only with their well-toned body, but also with their clothes. Girls prefer not heels, but boots, not skirts, but sweatpants. In this form, they go not only to the gym, but even to the cinema or to a cafe.
Aristocratic
Rich people and their children can afford the best. What lifestyle is considered aristocratic? People who can afford to fly abroad for the weekend or go on a cruise ship fit this definition. But today many factory workers have the opportunity to travel. The difference between them and aristocrats is that an ordinary person will save money for a vacation all year, and a wealthy entrepreneur can arrange a trip for himself as a reward for a successful deal. What does an aristocratic lifestyle include, besides expensive entertainment events? A relaxed daily routine, great food, gym sessions, beauty treatments and challenging business activities.
How to start leading a healthy lifestyle
It is more or less clear what a correct lifestyle is. However, understanding all this and even accepting that these concepts are quite similar to the truth, a person often continues to live as he lived and continue to suffer. Why is this happening? Because the trends in the world around us are opposite.
In modern society, completely opposite qualities are cultivated - selfishness, hatred, thirst for consumption. And this whirlpool draws us in. It takes a certain level of awareness to change something in life. Just try to reflect on your life and trace cause-and-effect relationships. You will understand that in most cases (though, to be honest, in all cases without exception), you yourself created the reasons for all the negative situations and conditions that manifest themselves in your life. If in some situation you were unable to discover the reason that you created, most likely the fact is that the reason lies too deep and, perhaps, the seed was sown a very long time ago and only sprouted many years later.
But, one way or another, in most situations (if we admit to ourselves honestly) we can see that we ourselves have created the reasons for our suffering. And realizing this can help you change your life. At the very least, stop blaming others for your problems. As soon as you stop doing this, you will immediately feel better, you will feel it yourself. Because it is hard to live in a world that seems aggressive and unfair. If a person understands that everything is in his hands, and he himself can change everything, it’s as if a stone has been lifted from his soul.
You shouldn’t radically change everything right away; it may be beyond your means and lead to unexpected consequences. Start small. From the first point - stop harming yourself. Avoid alcohol. At all. No compromises. Analyze all your habits and behavior patterns and honestly (I mean honestly, sincerely) answer the question: “Do I really need this? Do I really want this? How does this benefit me? Is it worth spending time on this? And if you answer yourself honestly, many bad habits will disappear.
But most importantly, find yourself a new positive hobby. The best option may be creativity - if something truly captivates you completely, you will simply be sorry to waste time watching all sorts of stupid things on TV, drinking alcohol, eating all sorts of harmful “sweets” and so on. If some inspiring task awaits you every morning, then there will simply be no time, no strength, no energy, no desire left for all sorts of stupidity and addiction.
Also try adjusting your diet. There is an opinion that 70% of a person’s diet should consist of raw fruits and vegetables. Then the body will be healthy and the digestion process will be complete. Avoid unhealthy, unnatural and refined foods. At first it will be difficult to give up your usual diet, but over time you will notice that ordinary fruits and vegetables are much tastier than any artificial foods like dumplings, sausages, pies, cakes and cookies. And once your body gets used to healthy eating, you won’t want to go back to old habits.
Motivation for a healthy lifestyle
Motivation is important in changing your lifestyle. If there is no worthy motivation, progress along the path will be very difficult and, most likely, the person will turn back. The correct lifestyle of a person depends on his motivation. Analyze your current life. Can you honestly say that you are absolutely happy? If yes, then most likely your lifestyle is already correct. If your happiness is not constant and is regularly replaced by suffering, then you are doing something wrong. All living beings, one way or another, strive to obtain happiness - this is the nature of all living things. And in order to find happiness, you need to lead a correct lifestyle in compliance with the three basic principles described above. And if you follow them, over time, suffering will disappear from your life forever. Don't take my word for it, just try it. And you will be surprised at how, as you change yourself and your attitude towards the world, the reality around you changes.
Idle lifestyle
Most unemployed people and even clerks have a narrow circle of interests and acquaintances. As a result, their destiny is to lead a rather idle lifestyle. What does it consist of? In daily trips to an unloved job (if there is one), unhealthy eating and a passion for bad habits. There is no activity in the lives of such people. Yes, they don’t need this. After all, why go skiing when you can watch your favorite series on TV? Of course, this is regrettable, but if you think about it, most people in our country lead an idle lifestyle. They sit on the couch and think that someone else is obliged to work on improving the political system, developing science and art. This lifestyle may also include trips abroad. But they will not be excursion or educational. An idle person can come, for example, to Turkey, and spend the entire vacation on the beach or on a sun lounger near the pool.
Established way of life.
Along with the new way of life, there are also old ways of life; the only question is which economic structure is dominant.
Modernization of production mainly on the basis of the V technological structure (electronics, computers and robots in production, multifunctional flexible automatic lines, workshops and entire factories, etc.), since most Russian enterprises have old Soviet equipment and technologies, they are not ready for the transition to the VI technological structure, bypassing the V structure.
It is called transitional at the present time, in 1930, when some of these structures, as outdated, are already going to the bottom, and one of these structures, namely the new structure in the field of industry and agriculture, is growing and developing with unprecedented speed.
But on the other hand, I don’t remember a moment in my life after which the whole way of my life, if you can call it a way (grins), became a meaningless series of some...
The dominant economic structure is becoming the one that was characteristic of fundamental science in past eras, that is, it was marginal.
During the first attempt to find radio signals of alien civilizations (the Ozma project in 1960), the committee sent a report to the US government, which, in part, said: “The history of anthropology knows many examples of societies that were confident in the inviolability of their political system and way of life , but disintegrated when they were faced with previously unknown societies that supported different ideas and a different way of life.
The scientists, themselves virtually enslaved by the state, did not seem to notice that more than half of the economic structure of the Hatti country was a socialist, state structure!
Catherine kept the doors of this huge theater of horrors open for almost half a century, not as a Russian, but as a very civilized German lady, very devoted to her hearth, whose household way of life was by no means so different from the household way of Queen Victoria, as one might expect judging by how They had different ideas about what was decent and what was not in love affairs.
These contradictions showed that “the system of economic relations in the “communal” village does not at all represent a special way of life (“people’s production”, etc.), as the populists asserted, but represents an “ordinary petty-bourgeois way of life.”
Gradually, they developed a very unique way of life, different from the way of life of other Polynesian peoples.
Public
With the development of social networks, many people wanted to gain easy fame. At the same time, naturally, they simply need to lead a public lifestyle. Today, almost all young people are puzzled by how to gain new subscribers on Instagram. It may seem strange, but some people go to extreme measures. They keep their lives open. Any person can find out what his neighbor eats, where he hangs out and who his neighbor sleeps with. All you have to do is open his profile. Why is this necessary? So that people can see how great a person is doing. The world of modern popularity is built on envy. But is this good? Of course not. What else, besides daily updated social networks, does a public lifestyle mean? Attending all kinds of social events and organizing them yourself. Popular people are obliged to lead their fans, tell them something and teach them something.
What other lifestyles are there?
We talked about the most famous and popular models of human existence. What other ways of life are there? Here is a list of some of them:
- night;
- west;
- Soviet;
- unhealthy;
- wandering;
- luxurious;
- free;
- respectable;
- stag;
- wasteful;
- Spartan;
- reclusive.
This list can be continued for a long time. Lifestyle and health are directly related in almost all of these points. After all, only a person who is not susceptible to disease can exist in harmony with his body and mind. Psychological illnesses rarely affect a person who is healthy in body and spirit.
How to change your life?
For change to begin to occur, you must first reconsider your views. The basis of the lifestyle is the mindset for success and the abandonment of bad habits. Moreover, many people can quit drinking and smoking, but they simply cannot give up gossip and slander. If you are going to build a new life, then you need to abandon the old foundations as much as possible. But of course, only from those that interfere with life. Every person has good habits. For example, some people like to get up early, while others like to go to bed early. Perhaps someone loves to meditate or run in the morning. So you need to cling to such actions and cultivate them. After all, it will be impossible to change your whole life at once. You need to make a list of good habits that will help you create your ideal lifestyle. Here's an example:
- getting up early;
- daily hygiene of body and thoughts;
- sport;
- healthy eating;
- favorite work;
- hobby;
- communication with loved ones and like-minded people.
Each person should have their own list. The main thing is that it must reflect individuality and true values.
Lifestyle and its components
Now that it has become clear that medicine cannot not only prevent, but also cope with the collapse of pathology that has befallen it, interest in a healthy lifestyle is attracting increasingly close attention from both specialists and the general public. This is not least due to the awareness of the truth and seriousness of the ancient saying: the art of prolonging life is the art of not shortening it.
In the previous section it was already noted that the overwhelming majority of diseases of modern man are caused primarily by his lifestyle and everyday behavior. That is why a healthy lifestyle is currently considered as a fundamental basis for disease prevention. For example, in the USA, a decrease in infant mortality rates by 80% and the mortality rate of the entire population by 94%, an increase in average life expectancy by 85% is associated not with the success of medicine, but with the improvement of living and working conditions and the rationalization of the population’s lifestyle. It is unfortunate to note that in our country, 78% of men and 52% of women lead an unhealthy lifestyle. True, these data also seem overly optimistic when carefully analyzing the very concept of “lifestyle.”
What is this “way of life”?
In literature, in advertising, at the level of everyday communication and through other channels of information, unfortunately, quite often the possibility of preserving and strengthening health is considered and proposed through the use of some remedy that has miraculous properties (physical activity of one kind or another, food additives). , psychotraining, body cleansing, etc.).
But practice shows that the desire to achieve health through any one means is fundamentally wrong, since any of the proposed “panaceas” is not able to cover the whole variety of interrelations of the functional systems that form the human body, and the connections of man himself with nature - all that , which ultimately determines the harmony of his life and health.
Consequently, the structure of a healthy lifestyle should represent a fundamental unity of all aspects of the material, everyday, natural, sociocultural and spiritual existence of a person, realized through structural, energy and information channels.
It is easy to see that these channels for ensuring healthy human life differ in two important features:
1. Any remedy acts on the human body as a whole, and not on any one separate system. Thus, the structural aspect requires in its implementation the participation of the genetic apparatus of all cells of the body, enzyme systems, digestive system, respiratory apparatus, thermoregulation, etc. The same situation arises regarding the other two channels of ensuring human existence.
2. Any means of supporting life is realized through almost all three channels . Thus, food carries structural, energetic, and informational potentials; movement turns out to be a condition for the activation of plastic processes, regulates the energy flow and carries important information for the body, which ultimately ensures appropriate structural changes.
Lifestyle is the actions consciously performed by a person that constitute the habitual pattern of his daily behavior. In his daily life, a person has to perform a significant part of the responsibilities and actions aimed at solving a number of problems:
- Ensuring vital functions, for which it is necessary to breathe, eat, sleep, maintain body temperature, etc.
— Fulfillment of professional duties requires compliance with a number of conditions in the organization of work (study), leisure, advanced training, physical and psychological rehabilitation, etc.
— Maintaining socio-cultural status, multiple interpersonal contacts, spiritual development, etc.
— Carrying out your family and household functions to ensure the life of the family and raise children.
— Taking care of your health, including necessary physical activity, compliance with hygiene requirements, giving up bad habits, etc.
Based on the need to solve these problems in everyday life, the following main components of lifestyle can be identified.
Physical activity.
Movement is the main condition for ensuring life. The body is designed in such a way that the activity of all its systems is subject to motor activity. This applies not only to the muscular system (which, with regular physical exercise, turns out to be well developed and gives a person an external attractiveness with a slim figure and athleticism), but to the cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, nervous and all other systems.
In addition, sufficient physical activity ensures that immunity is maintained at a high level, which allows a person to successfully resist infectious diseases. With a high level of physical fitness, other things being equal, a person has higher not only physical, but also mental performance, therefore, when performing intellectual work, fatigue occurs later. Physical training contributes to the growth of the body's functional reserves, due to which it becomes more adapted to the excessive muscle loads that it sometimes has to perform.
Providing mental health. Modern man has to withstand great psychological stress. They are associated with many circumstances: with educational or industrial work, with relationships with other people, with the need to fulfill certain responsibilities in the family and society, with stressful circumstances, with the need to respond to unpleasant or unexpected situations, etc.
The inability to behave adequately in these situations disrupts a person’s mental state. Such disorders often lead to the development of many diseases that plague our contemporaries. Therefore, it is so important to master those techniques that help each person to behave rationally in a situation that provokes mental stress, and if it does arise, then to get out of such circumstances with the least damage to one’s psyche and health.
Balanced diet. Nutrition allows a person to obtain the substances necessary to build the cells of his body, to maintain vital functions and perform daily activities.
But in order for it to truly and fully perform these functions, nutrition must meet certain requirements, among which the main ones are the following conditions:
a) it should be as natural as possible;
b) correspond to the anatomical and physiological characteristics of the person and the work he performs;
c) not turn into a cult, but remain first of all a need, and only then a pleasure.
If these requirements are not met, not only the digestive system is disrupted, but almost all body functions are affected. As a result, the level of health, resistance to infection, and performance decrease; Many diseases develop, including obesity, diabetes, disorders of the cardiovascular system and many others.
Hardening and training the immune system. Currently, the majority of absenteeism among schoolchildren and cases of illness among people of working age are associated with colds and cold-infectious diseases. Unfortunately, this situation is not due to the fact that a person is generally so sensitive to low temperatures from birth, but to the fact that in the process of life he does not train his resistance to them, but, on the contrary, strives for thermal comfort. On the other hand, it is known that people who systematically engage in hardening suffer from colds and cold-infectious diseases much less frequently, and the disease itself is easier for them.
A clear routine of life. All human behavior, the performance of his duties, as well as leisure and sleep must obey a certain pattern that would meet the requirements:
- any load (including muscular, mental, mental and even food intake) should alternate with a subsequent period of rest, ensuring the necessary restoration of the body’s reserves;
— a person’s routine should reflect all aspects of his life: study (work) and sleep, taking care of his health and leisure, fulfilling his responsibilities in the family and free time, time for self-preparation (doing homework) and meeting with friends, etc. .
Only if these conditions are met, a person’s life will be full of interesting and important things, there will be room in it for regular health care, and he will not experience a constant feeling of lack of time.
Psychosexual life is an integral part of human life. The significance of this lifestyle factor, its perception and attitude towards it changes at different age periods, but nevertheless affects the entire life span. In this regard, the ability to lead a rational psychosexual life (and we are talking not only about sexual intercourse itself, but about the whole variety of relationships between women and men) plays an important role in ensuring human health.
Refusal of bad habits , which include regular use of substances and products that are harmful to human health. Such substances include alcohol, tobacco, narcotic products, toxic substances, etc. Each of them, not only when used systematically, but sometimes even when used once, causes serious disturbances in the functioning of the body, which is why they are called “harmful” and Their constant use is called “bad habits.”
Most often, the use of harmful substances is associated with their ability to inhibit the consciousness of a person, who now thinks that some life problems and unpleasant circumstances have ceased to exist for him. But after the end of the effect of such substances, which have already caused harm to health, problems still remain, and health and time that could be used to resolve them are lost.
Compliance with hygiene requirements. To ensure good health, a person needs to keep his body clean. This applies not only to the skin, but also to the hair, mouth, respiratory system, genitals, that is, all those parts of the body that are in direct contact with the external environment. You should also ensure certain requirements for your living conditions: life, clothing, education, nutrition, etc. Recommendations on how to maintain the cleanliness of your body and the environment that would not harm human health are given by the science of hygiene .
Ability to prevent dangerous situations and behave correctly when they arise. Being in constant contact with the environment and with other people, a person sometimes finds himself in situations that threaten not only his health, but also his life. In everyday life, on the street, in transport, in nature, in relationships with dangerous people and animals, we experience many adverse effects. Therefore, it is very important for every person to know, on the one hand, how to prevent their occurrence, and on the other, if a dangerous situation has arisen, then how to behave in it with the least damage to health.
It should be noted that each of these nine components in its daily implementation actually affects any of those five aspects of human life as a socio-biological being, which we discussed above.
Risk factors are factors that determine health and negatively affect it. They favor the occurrence and development of diseases. A risk factor is a symptom that is somehow associated with the occurrence of a disease in the future. In this case, a sign is considered a risk factor as long as the nature of its connection remains completely undisclosed as probabilistic.
The immediate causes of the disease (etiological factors) directly affect the body, causing pathological changes in it. Etiological factors can be bacterial, physical, chemical, etc. For the development of the disease, a combination of risk factors and the immediate causes of the disease is necessary. It is often difficult to identify the cause of the disease, since there may be several causes and they are interrelated.
The number of risk factors is large and growing every year: in the 1960s. there were no more than 1000 of them, now there are approximately 3000. Risk factors can relate to the external environment (ecological, economic, etc.), the person himself (high blood cholesterol, arterial hypertension, hereditary predisposition, etc.) and behavioral characteristics (smoking , physical inactivity, etc.). The combination of several factors sums up their effect. In this case, the final result is often potentiated, when the overall negative impact turns out to be greater than just the sum of individual contributions. The main, so-called major, risk factors are identified, i.e., those that are common to a wide variety of diseases: smoking, physical inactivity, excess body weight, unbalanced nutrition, arterial hypertension, psycho-emotional stress, etc.
Why do people lead immoral lives?
The question is quite trivial. After all, a person’s fate is directly influenced by his upbringing. Of course, class and lifestyle are related. But this vicious circle can be broken. The son of a worker and a cook can become a businessman, and the daughter of a millionaire can easily squander the entire family fortune. Although such cases are still exceptions. Usually people do not go beyond their social circle given to them from birth. Why do some individuals not only not try to develop, but also aggravate an already deplorable situation? Bad habits, weak willpower and apathy are the main reasons for the reluctance to change anything. And when you add the thought that life is bad and it will never get better, no matter how hard you try, then the person completely disappears. Such people are capable of committing immoral acts, and it is very difficult to change them. No matter how much a psychologist assures a person that everything can be changed, until the person believes in himself, change cannot be expected.
How to lead a healthy lifestyle
So, what is the right way of life? Based on the elementary logic of the structure of our world, we can distinguish the following criteria for a correct lifestyle:
- refusal to harm oneself;
- refusal to harm others;
- refusal to cause harm to the Universe.
As experience shows, it is the observance of these three criteria that allows you to build a harmonious life and harmonious interaction with the world. It is worthwhile to dwell on these three points in more detail, since even under these three concepts everyone can see something different.
Refusing to harm yourself. It would seem that everything is obvious. No living creature wants to harm itself. Except... a person. Due to his evolution, a person has acquired the right to choose, and if an animal is limited by its instincts and acts in accordance with the programs laid down by nature, then a person has many options. And it is precisely this freedom that has turned into evil for us in our time. Having gained freedom of choice, we began to make the wrong choices. What does “wrong” mean in this case? It’s very simple - we began to act to our own detriment.
For example, the use of alcohol, nicotine and other drugs in our society has become almost the norm. And if nicotine and other drugs are still at least formally considered bad habits, then “moderate consumption” of alcohol is considered the norm and even a necessity. However, this is a lie imposed on us by alcohol corporations.
If you open the second volume of the Great Soviet Encyclopedia on page 116 and read the definition of the word “alcoholism” there, then the first line of the second paragraph will tell us that “alcohol is a narcotic poison.” And all the leading scientists of the Soviet Union signed this statement. Were they all wrong, and are modern Internet freaks spreading false information that alcohol (as they like to joke) “in small doses is harmless in any quantity” more trustworthy?
Or non-existent research by non-existent, ubiquitous “British scientists” about the benefits of alcohol. For many, this is more convincing than the opinion of the luminaries of Russian medicine, such as Pavlov, Sechenov, Mechnikov, Uglov and others, who confidently and categorically asserted that alcohol is a poison, a genetic weapon that destroys the Russian people. And this was said at the beginning of the last century.
“Moderate drinking” of alcohol is a prime example of how people unknowingly harm themselves. The same applies to smoking, poor nutrition, and various kinds of bad habits, which in our society have long been accepted as the norm. But it is important to understand that these “norms” are imposed on us for certain purposes. With which? Everything is very simple. The most profitable business is made on vices. And if people are hooked on various kinds of addictions, it is very easy to make a lot of money from them. That is why today society promotes destructive models of behavior that lead to a person harming himself.
Refusal to harm others. If many people agree with the first point, then disagreements may arise regarding the second. Often people are under the illusion that this world is unfair and those around them treat people unfairly. Therefore, according to the Old Testament principle of “an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth,” everyone must be punished and justice must be urgently restored. However, friends, if the majority is guided by this principle, then every second person in our country will be one-eyed, and the most profitable profession will be that of a dentist. Do you want to live in such a society? The question is rhetorical.
How should we understand the principle of not harming others, and why is it so important? Is it necessary to “turn the other cheek”, and how do you generally interact with aggressors? Our ancestors also taught their children a simple principle: “What goes around comes around.” It is difficult to find a person who has not heard this saying, but for some reason few people apply it in life. But based on this proverb, there is and cannot be any injustice in this world. Because if you sow evil, then as it comes back, so it will respond. Therefore, if those around us do not show the most positive things towards us, we should not immediately label everyone as villains, we need to think - maybe you yourself did the same thing just recently?
As for “turning the other cheek,” you should not take it literally, and in each situation everything is individual. But in any case, even if there is a vital need to show aggression and fight back against the offender, this must be done without anger, understanding that everything happens due to conditions. Thus, by doing good deeds and cultivating patience towards others, a person creates reasons for those around him to behave in a similar way towards him. You shouldn’t take the word for some strange, at first glance, concepts - just try it. Try to be patient and condescending towards people’s vices and shortcomings. Do not respond with evil to evil or violence to violence. And you will see that reality will miraculously change. Refusal to cause harm to the Universe. Coming to an understanding of this principle is even more difficult. If many religions teach compassion for one’s neighbor, and our parents often tell us in childhood that we need to be polite and friendly, then somehow no attention is paid to respect for nature and, in general, all living things in our society. Many philosophies and religions are united in one thing - everything in our world is interconnected, and if we destroy something around us, then the world around us responds in kind and begins to destroy us. Here again the simple ancient principle “What goes around comes around” comes into play.
Newton, in his third law, reflected one of the basic laws of the universe - “for an action there is always an equal and opposite reaction.” That is, any action that we perform immediately triggers the process of a similar action that will be directed towards us. And this is not some abstract philosophical speculation, this is a law of physics recognized by all scientists in the world.
So is it worth breaking these laws to create reasons for your own suffering?
If we treat the world around us with disrespect and consumerism, the world will answer us in kind.
For example, in the modern world, eating meat is considered the norm. But it is important to understand that eating meat is impossible without killing a living creature. And even if we ourselves do not seem to kill anyone, we sponsor and pay for these murders. We could just as easily hire a killer to punish our offender, and then declare that we ourselves did not kill anyone and are not guilty of anything. It's the same with eating meat - mass killings of animals exist on this planet only because people continue to pay for it.
And if we (even indirectly) are involved in the murder of living beings, the world will show us the same - evil, violence and aggression. Remember? - There is always an opposite reaction to an action.
How does this manifest itself in real life? At the very least, eating meat is unhealthy. Man by nature is not a meat eater (there are many scientific studies on this topic) and complete digestion and assimilation of meat does not occur in our body. On the contrary, during its digestion, toxic substances are formed that destroy our health. This is where the law of physics about “opposite reaction” manifests itself - by indirectly participating in causing harm to animals, we ourselves begin to experience health problems.
And so it is in everything. Any destructive action towards the world around us will inevitably lead to destructive action directed against us. It's just that it doesn't always happen instantly and isn't always obvious. Therefore, if, having committed evil, we receive evil in return a couple of years later, it may seem to us that this happened “by chance,” “on its own.” And so we again fall into the illusion of the injustice of the world and begin to get angry at the one who showed negativity towards us. In fact, the only person we can be angry with is ourselves.
