Become a volunteer
Volunteering is a great way to express yourself, feel useful, and fulfill your need to help other people (or animals). In almost every city there are organizations that gladly accept the help of volunteers. At the same time, you can regulate your own schedule and choose the activities that you like.
You can go to an animal shelter, become a volunteer rescuer (although this will require you to take training courses), join the heroes who are searching for missing people, or even try to work in a hospice.
Who knows , maybe over time you will decide to change your job and devote yourself completely to a new activity.
Go on a trip
Visiting other places is a radical change of scenery. Your eyes will see different landscapes, your ears will hear different sounds. There is something to do with other senses as well. You shouldn't spend your holidays the same way every year.
There are a lot of possibilities, you won't be able to explore them all. But we must strive for this. Now there is an opportunity to visit almost any country. And they are all so different.
Get a new profession
Often in their youth, people go to study for a certain specialty only because their parents insisted on it. At the same time, my soul was in something completely different. Maybe it's time to change your destiny? All kinds of courses, evening courses at universities and colleges: you can choose what you like and start studying.
Of course, it won’t be easy to fit work and study into your schedule, but you definitely won’t be bored. In addition, learning new information is a great way to train your brain.
You're not trying to develop
Very fast and tasty: lazy whites are exactly what you need during the hot season
Without flour and yeast: I often make pizza from zucchini. They forgot about the classic
New iOS 14 app will completely change the way you use your iPhone
A person gets much more pleasure from life if he is ready to change and grow. You should not give up your own principles and your individuality. Just focus on self-development and move in a direction that truly inspires you.
Learn a new type of needlework
A new hobby will help you add variety to your life. By the way, psychologists believe that a person’s presence of any hobby has a beneficial effect on his psychological stability and brings a sense of harmony to life. Try embroidering, painting, wood carving, or even making your own furniture.
You will still have the things you made with your own hands, and it is possible that you will achieve such skill that your hobby will begin to generate good income. After all, handmade goods are highly valued these days and real masters never go without money.
Change your daily routine
Change your appearance, dye your hair a different color. Blondes will become redheads, and brown-haired people will become brunettes. Take a different route to work. Take it and don't sleep for one night. At this time of day, everything seems a little different.
Address the colleague with whom you are at odds with a friendly face and enjoy his surprise. If you have been quiet in cooperatives until now, make a toast. Just be careful in this situation. It is quite possible that the girl who sits on the lap of her friendly, smiling boss and thinks “Life is good!” will be asked to write a statement of her own free will the next day.
If you continue to do what you did before, you will get what you used to get.
Travel
Is it worth spending a vacation in the city or at a boring country house if the whole world is open to you? If you are on a financial budget, you can take a trip to a nearby city that you have never been to. You can get rid of boredom and get new experiences!
You can also take a trip outside the city and live in a tent for several days to get a taste of camp life. Fresh air and picturesque nature: what could be better for a perfect weekend?
Are you afraid of failure?
Let's be honest: doing the same thing every day is not very interesting. But what's stopping you from trying something new? Perhaps you are simply afraid of failure. This is quite understandable, however, you must understand that you will not be able to cope with despondency if you never try anything. Leave your comfort zone and look for new opportunities, trust me, you won't regret it.
In the USA, a barista refused to serve a woman without a mask and suddenly became rich

Get a pet
If you still don't have a pet, you should think about getting one. If you are a busy person, you don't have to get a dog or cat that requires a lot of attention. Even an aquarium with fish or turtles will add variety to your life. In addition, having a pet makes a person calmer and emotionally balanced. Therefore, if you need a cure for boredom, go to the pet store for it!
Are you bored and lonely? There is a solution - create a problem! Does not help? Create a lot of problems!
In this post I want to piece together and trace my hair history over the past 2.5 years. Why 2.5? But because exactly so many years ago I went to university and since then the life of my hair has changed
Attention!
The post is not recommended for very sensitive individuals to read, because... contains many photos of damaged hair! I also apologize for the quality of some of the photos - they were not taken for the post. But if you like such uninformative long posts with a bunch of photos and hair stories, then grab your tea and welcome to my story...
A short preface
I have curly hair and all my life I didn’t know how to style it or what to do with it, but I’ve loved hair care since school. I also constantly cut off the bob and then grew it back. The same goes for bangs. But I've never dyed my hair. During school, I didn’t like blondes or redheads, and creative colors require proper care, which I didn’t know. In general, we lived quietly with my hair, drank tea, made masks for its growth and oil wraps for shine. And for graduation, I actually decided to grow my hair as long as possible (for me at that time) so that my friend would give me a beautiful hairstyle.
And then they really are industries. My main weapons were nicotinic acid and homemade mustard masks. As a result, in 2 years my hair has grown from a straightened length to the chin to this (if straightened, to the chest):
Of course, there were a lot of haircuts, because every other day I dried my short hair with a hairdryer and straightened it with an iron, and when the iron broke and I urgently needed to get my hair done, I couldn’t think of anything more sensible than taking a regular iron for ironing and straightening my hair with it. And I’m resourceful, yeah (no). In general, by that time the condition of my hair after ironing had improved a lot, but one day everything changed. I went to university (ta-ta-taaam - scary music). And this is what my hair looked like before its future torture. My native color. I even let them curl freely (incredible generosity)
Chapter 1. Miss spontaneity, listen to the hairdresser and your heart!
Despite the fact that I had a very successful haircut (shorter in the front - almost down to the shoulder blades in the back), I didn’t go through with it for long.
Once I showed photos of my youth during my school years with a bob and everyone around me said that yes, it really suits me. But how can you not get a haircut after this? What about uni, a new life, a new me and a new haircut? Inside myself, I felt that now I have the longest and most well-groomed hair (not counting my childhood) and I don’t have to part with it. And the hairdresser generally refused to cut my hair, because I have good hair and a comfortable hairstyle.
A new life began even before the haircut, I remained the same, but my hair became noticeably shorter. Of course, I, as a person who does not know how to care for curls and looked at the super-smooth hair of Instagram divas, did not allow my hair such generosity as to curl wherever it pleased. Sometimes she straightened it with a hairdryer, sometimes with an iron, but most often she just tried to tame it with a comb, running over it a hundred million times (after all, heat damages hair!)
Chapter 2. Walking around the store - make a list, or think a hundred times - don’t paint a single one.
Why do people go to the store? Go shopping. Why do people walk around the store? When waiting for someone or out of boredom. As a result of anticipation and boredom, I wandered into the hair cosmetics department and there I saw it... a copper-colored toning mousse. And then you know how it happens. Spark, storm, madness, passion, and I’ve already tinted myself red three times in a row (the first time the shade was not so noticeable)
And somehow this color sank into my soul, I felt so comfortable and cozy with it and I felt like myself that I decided to dye my hair. Salons? For some reason I didn’t even think about them, I just went to the cosmetics store and bought a box of paint. Despite the fact that I have been afraid of colors all my life, this time I was unstoppable. The color in the photo is not much different from my natural one, but in life the difference was more noticeable.
Chapter 3. The best is the enemy of the good, or henna will save the world!
After dyeing my hair completely lost its shine. They felt much worse, despite the fact that my care even then consisted of various masks, balms and leave-in products. Then I went online and found what I needed! Henna! It will give a brighter color, strengthen the roots, accelerate growth, restore hair and give it shine and density! Having immediately bought the treasured panacea, I ran to brew it, simultaneously reading reviews of this miracle remedy. It turned out to be a strange coppery, but kind of cheap color that I wasn’t entirely thrilled with. What do they do in such cases? Masha adds basma to henna. From basma I got an almost black color, dry, uncombable tow and a lack of shine. How so? I don't know, but it's a fact. Despite this, I repeated basma every week, because the package says that it accelerates hair growth. So I went around constantly applying herbal mixtures to the entire length and wondering why my hair was becoming drier and drier.
Chapter 4. If you're bored, do something with yourself, just not with your hair.
These were difficult times - my hair was in deep depression and nothing helped it. I tried to cheer them up with oils and store-bought masks, and began to treat them more carefully, but this did not help either. Physically they were still here, but the spiritual connection with them was lost. Okay, enough of this nonsense. In general, I saw a picture of a girl with bangs, I remembered my school days, and it was already night outside and I had no choice but to cut my hair myself. With a slight movement of the hand, the bangs turned out to be too thick and not suitable for my face type. What then? Tears, despair and the decision to make it at least a little more fun - what kind of hair dye? That's right, red.
In general, I wanted the best, but it turned out as always.
Chapter 5. Suspicious calm before a storm of 12 points on the Beaufort scale.
After the bangs, the decision was made to calm down and grow my hair. I liked my color, I constantly pinned my bangs and waited for them to grow back. I made mustard masks and oils for growth. But spring has come, and with it the desire to change and shine. Shine black with basma and then black tonic. All this dries the hair mercilessly, basma gives a greenish tint, and tonic deprives the hair of shine. Hair breaks at an alarming rate. But I think that I’m only doing better for my hair. But then the period of henna and calm came again. My hair is in shock, and I finally and irrevocably stop using herbs to color my hair. I do oil wraps and try to breathe life into my hair. By the way, during this period I was surprised at what my hair was capable of - it had never curled so much. Either it's the length or the quality of the hair.
Chapter 6. Hairmaniac, I found you!
Looking at pictures with bright colors, I periodically followed the links and came across this site. The decision to register arose instantly, especially since the first three-month marathon was beginning. And that was a year ago. Thanks to the knowledge gained on this site and the advice of the girls, I was able to speed up hair growth and make it look its best. Look, this length has survived three paint jobs with store-bought paints and a bunch of herbal dyes.
I wish I could calm down and enjoy life, but the drama queen inside me was looking for something to profit from.
And I thought - since I already have such cool hair, I can now get what I’ve been wanting for so long (a couple of months, yeah) - namely purple hair! Or light red. Or purple. I don’t know what, but I definitely want it!
Chapter 7. Everything secret becomes clear, or basma makes itself felt.
So, this post is getting too long and tedious, so let’s try to speed it up. Knowing that I had basma before dyeing, I made all sorts of oil masks for a week, washed my hair with soda and did everything to wash out this herb. I've never been so naive before. In the end, I bleached my hair, the roots were yellow and the length was dark green. The purple paint didn't turn out the way I expected and the yellow roots turned out to be ashen and the length was almost black. Plus, the quality after painting and washing off all the silicones horrified me. The next morning I cut off my hair and tinted it on top with Estelle direct action pigment.
well... almost what I wanted (no)
Of course, I didn’t walk around with this miracle on my head for a long time and painted everything on top black. But the dreams of colored hair never left me. And then, in order to give at least some color tint, a direct action pigment was used again, which, of course, later washed out.
And you know, if before that I made mistakes and got away with everything, now the worst awaited my hair.
Chapter 8. First decide, then do it!
I didn’t like this strange color with spots. I want a red one. After all, I didn’t get a normal redhead. And on the advice of a friend, I didn’t lighten my hair with powders, but simply bought store-bought L’Oreal dye with the girl with super white hair in the picture. The result was a green unicorn color - light blue from the pigment, green from the basma and very light roots. Then, to be honest, I don’t quite remember whether I painted everything over again with black or immediately lightened it by 9%, but in the end this is what was on the roots
Everything was bad, there was no question of any redhead. What's left to paint over everything? Black and grow your color.
When I washed off my hair after the oxide, it began to fall off. Stretches like chewing gum and falls off in whole strands. In general, after all the painting, what do I have on the back of my head? That's right, the hair fell off, only 1-2 cm remained untouched by the oxide.
You can see in the photo next to the short ones a long strand - this was the original length before the hair was burned
The length remained just above my shoulders and I walked a little like that, not noticing any significant consequences other than dryness.
And then there was a marathon where I noticed all the beauty of my hairstyle
And the hair is neatly styled and combed.
Chapter 9. The consequences continue, or the path to peace has been found.
In general, over the summer and early autumn there were many small independent haircuts of 1-2 cm to remove these holes without hair in the middle of the head. I tried to put off going to the hairdresser as long as possible, where I was supposed to have everything cut off. But since my hair was already destroyed, nothing stopped me from curling and straightening it every day. It really didn't last long for me.
And then I decided to get a haircut and this is what I got...
I'm a boy. It was already October 2020 and the beginning of a growth marathon, where I dabbled a little again with direct action pigments. By the end of the marathon I got this result.
Still, then I decided to do a little coloring with low oxides and now I appear before you in this version
Conclusion.
Yes, my hair has seen all the hardships of life during this time.
Now I’m intensively growing them and restoring the ends, although something tells me that one day I’ll just cut them off so as not to suffer. What will happen next? I don't know. Definitely no blue or paint boxes from the grocery store. And I haven’t completely recovered from the moral trauma after dyeing with herbs, so this is also a thing of the past. But after writing this post, I really wanted to return my natural color and an even cut to the shoulders. Therefore, my only plans are to grow my hair and cut off the ends. Grow and cut. Of course, I will try not to touch my hair for at least a year, but who knows what awaits us tomorrow... I hope I didn’t bore you too much with my story. Thank you for reading me to the end. Love yourself and your hair, great hair to everyone
Play!
Children know a great way to relieve boredom. They love to play. An adult can also devote his time to games. Intellectual competitions, sports competitions, and finally, popular board games: they will bring an element of excitement into your life and make you think in a new way. Find a game that you enjoy and you won't be bored anymore!
Now you know how to add variety to your life. Choose one or more of the proposed methods or come up with your own.
And remember that a person only has one life and should not waste it on boredom!
You are not trying to develop your ability to find entertainment

Some people only feel interested when watching TV or playing games on their smartphone. Relying solely on external stimulation is harmful to the psyche. Sooner or later, nothing will delight or seem new. If you develop the ability to deal with boredom more constructively, life will always be interesting for you. It is no coincidence that they say that smart people are never bored - learn to find interesting things in everything that surrounds you, and your life will become richer.
What else can you do?
There are opportunities to bring interest into your life every day. For example, set yourself a goal every day to do something differently than usual. It could be a small thing: for example, instead of taking the bus to work, ride a bike or walk. The changes don't have to be rational: it may be faster and more convenient to travel by bus. But you can drink coffee on foot along the way. Everyone decides for himself what exactly new he will do: put on a different shirt, smile at a colleague, or put a flower in a pot on his desk.
Being may not determine consciousness in everything, but it certainly influences it. This means you need to change something in your home. Rearranging the furniture or re-pasting the wallpaper can also help you learn something new. An important step is to throw away everything old, something that no one has used for the last couple of years, but is lying around just in case. Our attitude towards life is greatly influenced by the things we have.
There is a simple psychological trick: if you want to put things in order in your head, put things in order in your closet. Following this analogy, you can get the conclusion: if you want changes to happen in your head, change something in the closet and in the house, throw away the old, dull, broken and give it to someone you don’t need.
Another way to avoid boredom is to agree to help someone more often. This is an opportunity to get joy from what was useful, make new friends and learn something new. There is no need to dive headlong into altruism, allowing people to sit on your neck. But you shouldn’t be too upset because of someone’s ingratitude either: we do good first of all for ourselves.
How dangerous is the state of apathy and boredom?
Boredom as a condition can be very dangerous . It is boredom that forces a person to look for some new stimuli that are outside the environment in which a person lives. For example, some extreme sports can become such irritants.
In some cases, a person may begin to engage in something that directly or indirectly poses a danger to life and health.
Some people start drinking alcohol, some look for casual acquaintances and begin to be promiscuous, and some commit immoral acts . And almost no one does anything useful out of boredom.
And such destructive searches can lead to boredom returning, and at the same time the person will acquire some health problems . For example, alcoholism or hepatitis.
That is why it is important to think about it, and then determine for yourself what you should do when boredom appears in life, and how to get rid of it.
It is important to understand that even a simple person who does not have any superpowers .
Remember that boredom can have devastating consequences such as:
- stress, nervous tension;
- alcohol and sometimes drug addiction;
- depression;
- constant brain activity, as a result, a complete lack of rest and severe overexertion;
- irritability and severe aggression;
- due to increased fatigue, it is impossible to concentrate;
- there is a desire to work without any rest.
As you can see, boredom can have very unpleasant consequences. How to deal with it?
