Was it possible? How to live life and not work
Passive income. What is it and how to get it?
Passive income is income that does not depend on daily activities.
You and I all know what a salary is. So, salary is the most common Active income. A person receives this type of income when he receives payment for each unit of his labor. Worked one day/one time - received salary once. If you suddenly fell ill, you received sick leave, but less, and if you were suddenly fired, you received nothing. Working for a salary is sometimes called the “rat race” - in order to receive a salary, a person constantly has to work. Life turns into a constant race in the circle of work-home-work-home.
The complete opposite of active income is passive income. If you have such income, then you will receive it even when you are not working. To create passive income, you need to create a source of passive income - an asset. Creating an asset can take a certain amount of time from several days to several years. Once an asset is created, it can generate passive income for a long time, even indefinitely. That is, having once worked and created an asset, a person will receive payment many times for his once done work. Imagine, you went to work on Monday from 9-18 once, and your salary is paid every month regularly throughout your life. You may have even forgotten about the work you once did, but the money still comes. Sounds like a fairy tale.
Someone will say: “If it were possible, everyone would do it.” In fact, those who know about it do so. And there are a lot of examples. The simplest known examples of passive income are interest on deposits, dividends from shares, and rental payments. If a person buys an apartment and rents it out, he receives monthly rent, which is also passive income - the person bought the apartment once, and receives income many times over. True, there are many nuances in the apartment example, but that’s not about that now.
Examples of passive income that are available to a limited number of people are royalties for music and songs, book publications, acting roles in films, film scripts, painting, and businesses.
The most optimal and accessible source of passive income for absolutely every person is investing and creating capital. Each person, having set a goal and received certain knowledge, is able, after working for a certain time, to create capital for himself that can generate passive income that exceeds his expenses. At this moment, a person gets rid of the need to work for money and can live peacefully on the constantly received passive income.
People who live on passive income are called rentiers, and the income they receive is also called rent. Rentiers most often do what they like and travel a lot around the world.
By the way, during the Soviet era, passive income was not encouraged. It was a type of unearned income and some types could be prosecuted as a criminal offense. Remember the attitude of Soviet people towards commerce and entrepreneurship.
On the contrary, in capitalist countries, people are taught from childhood to create capital and their own passive income and not to rely on a state pension. People in capitalist countries are taught the basics of financial literacy and capital formation from childhood. Fortunately, in our country, the state is now actively working to improve the financial literacy of the population and is launching numerous programs.
By the way, the state pension is also a type of passive income. Another point is that the state pension is often very small in size, but in order to receive it, on the contrary, you need to work for a very long time - your whole life.
When creating capital and passive income, only you determine how long you will work and when you will start receiving passive income and living only from it.
Some people think that passive income makes a person lazy. In fact, you can’t do nothing and just lie on the couch if you have a lot of money. People who create capital and live on passive income always have an active lifestyle. The moment you no longer need to work for money, you will begin to do what you really like and will do it exceptionally well and with soul. You will do good, make the world around you better and brighter, not for money, but out of sincere desire.
I wish everyone to create capital for themselves, live on passive income, do what they love and improve the world around them.

Is it really possible to live without money?
Life without money and without work cannot be called carefree, but it can definitely be beneficial, especially if the difficulties are temporary. After living a little in a mode of reduced opportunities, you can learn to save and plan a budget with minimal losses. It is not for nothing that many rich people, businessmen and oligarchs, live modestly and sometimes even ascetically, saving on luxury and investing only in the most necessary: housing, health, cars.
In local second-hand stores and charity shops (used bookstores, household goods, food stores) you often meet wealthy people who know about the most profitable points of sale. It is this prudence and modesty that increases the wealth of these people.

People wonder how to live without money for just two reasons:
- Someone is forced, due to life circumstances, to know first-hand about the problem of lack of money;
- Some are attracted by the very essence of independence from finances and the style of detachment from worldly concerns, gluttony, and greed.
Regardless of what prompted this question, it is possible to live without money and there are quite a few ways to do this.
Downshifting in Russia
The word “Downshifting” has been heard by everyone who wondered how to learn to live without money. Imagine that a person can choose a certain lifestyle. There are only two options. The first represents a good job and a stable income, but with a rigid rhythm and framework imposed by society, rules of obedience and constant stress, as well as the cruel conditions of the metropolis. The second is a lower level of society, a modest income, no career growth, but in return - complete freedom and independence from the rules that society loves to establish.
Downshifters are people who are inclined towards the second option: a conscious renunciation of career and social status in the name of freedom of choice regarding a place to live, hobbies and family.
Downshifting (from the English words “down” and “shift”) is an automotive term that translates as “moving to a low limit.” As a phenomenon, it represents a rejection of the goals that society imposes on a person and the pursuit of one’s own worldview.
If society believes that a person should strive for success, wealth and stylish luxury goods, then downshifting involves giving up city life or a career, moving to nature or abroad and completely dedicating oneself to personal values and spiritual growth.
As an example, we can cite the story of the Russian multimillionaire oligarch German Sterligov. A successful politician, businessman and public figure, the founder of Russian commodity life left his business and moved with his family to the Moscow region, where he built a house and farm. Tired of the race for success and position in society, he chose an activity that gave him freedom and psychological comfort.
German Sterligov is a former Russian businessman, now a Russian downshifter.
Downshifting in Russia differs from the global phenomenon, but its ideology remains the same. If in Europe downshifters mostly go on trips, then in Russia the idea of moving to the outback, away from civilization, joining communes or religious groups, where the problem of lack of money is familiar to everyone, is more popular.
