How to get rid of disorganization? 10 effective ways

Being organized is usually associated with negativity, monotony, dullness and boredom. In psychology, total control over one’s life gives rise to a feeling of anxiety, inhibits personal development and prevents one from enjoying not only everyday life, but also leisure.

However, this text should show you that organization is the only way to freedom; only with the help of planning can you achieve your goals without wasting your whole life on work.

Why developers

Besides the fact that we are on a geek portal, according to personal observations, it is programmers who have the most problems with organizing their time. The entire development cycle is strictly regulated in terms of timing, purpose and tools, so there is a false sense of control over the process. Online courses also take place on schedule in a short time frame.

The truth is that all control is external. It’s like treating a monthly salary or loan payment as a monthly plan. These deadlines weigh on you and limit you even more. Anyone who strives for freedom must build his own line of organization.

Updating the daily schedule

Typical weekday:

  • wake up, get ready and get to work;
  • work hard from 9 to 6;
  • having a snack;
  • rush to the gym (swimming pool, on a date, meeting with friends);
  • return home and sit down at your favorite computer, study the news, watch movies and TV series;
  • go to bed.

The time for development is on weekends, vacations or never. Your career is not in your hands, but is completely left to chance. Without constant self-development, you will not find your dream job; you will always be confined to a gray office existence with a fear of change.

Look again at the plan - there is no organization, only dependency. Try to shake up your day by making time for development:

  1. The time from waking up to work is often undeservedly deleted from the daily routine. Try going to bed and getting up at least half an hour earlier. Dedicate this time to moderate physical activity, work or study.
  2. The working day lasts from 9 to 6, but in fact you work 80% of the time. How do you spend the other 20%? Smoke breaks, talking about life with others, reading news and social networks? Better watch a webinar or read a book.
  3. Between work and the next scheduled event there are usually 60-90 minutes, which are simply lost due to the road and the need to grab something to eat. Try to at least sometimes have an early dinner right at work. This will be beneficial during training, and your brain will work better in the afternoon. While on the road, train yourself to listen to programming podcasts and read books.
  4. Don't sacrifice leisure and hobbies for work, but watch your time. 1.5-2 hours is enough to get away from office worries and get a dose of endorphins.
  5. After returning home, first of all, complete all the tasks, only then move on to entertainment. At least an hour before bedtime, turn off your computer and phone, listen to a podcast at low volume. This way, you will sleep better and immediately after waking up you will be ready for new achievements.

As can be seen from the revised plan, it is best to study in the first half of the day, while devoting the second half to rest and daily activities. It is better to adhere to a similar routine on weekends.

We are pumping up development

Organization in programming affects several aspects:

  1. Tools. Maximum efficiency in modern development is achieved not only with the help of knowledge, but also with the use of advanced and user-friendly software. Frameworks, code editors, testing programs, templates - all this will save time and make the code better.
  2. Schedule. Deadlines and milestones should come not only from the manager, but also from you. Leave time for creativity, but clearly control the execution of subtasks on time. The code will contain fewer errors if you do not write it in the last hours before the deadline.
  3. Communication. Sometimes it’s easier to go ask a colleague or manager about something than to spend hours figuring it out on your own. Accustom yourself to business communication that does not degenerate into chatter, and you will be surprised at the effect it will have.

Maxim Gladky: Work discipline and organization

Maxim Gladky

Every person in one way or another encounters the concept of discipline in his life, and from a very early age. Starting from parents’ demands to obey them and ending with compliance with some kind of routine. Of course, everyone has heard comments about their own lack of discipline. Therefore, I would like to consider the role of discipline and organization in modern human life, in particular in the work process.

Coming to work in an organization, a newcomer is faced with the internal structure of the team, with its requirements and routines, which he must learn to comply with. And not only to comply, but also to join the team painlessly. Discipline is one of the most important components of the successful operation of an enterprise. This applies to both management and rank and file. Taking into account a leader, you can find many small industries that may be affected by the level of his self-organization. Discipline should not be understood only as arriving at work on time. In my opinion, this is a deeper concept. The management must understand that he is an example for his employees, and, looking at him and his actions, the enterprise team will imitate him, respecting for the most part each of the decisions made. Organization should be evident in everything. Let's take a look at the same manager's workplace. Everything there should be structured: be it business documents or just work supplies. Moreover, in this case, not only the external perception of a person depends on this, but also, again, saving working time and all the ensuing consequences. For example, if you urgently needed to find some document, the employee should not spend a lot of time on this, but should already know where this document is located. A person going to a meeting must realize that he will be representing his company. In my opinion, it is simply necessary to prepare for each meeting. We are talking about elaborating the issue being discussed in the future to the smallest detail, about studying the interlocutor himself, and about his appearance. All of this will matter one way or another. If a person is disciplined and organized, then he controls himself, and therefore his time and, probably, his results. Each of its participants contributes to the organization of the entire work team as a whole. And if just one of them stumbles, it can also affect the entire team. This must be monitored and such deviations must be stopped. For this, there are various methods that should be reflected in the charter or rules of the enterprise developed by the management team. Each employee must know their responsibilities and fulfill them, regardless of others. If one of the employees does not fulfill the prescribed duties, in my opinion, you should not immediately rush at him with punitive methods, but first find out what the reason for this is. The reason may not necessarily be the disorganization of the employee; perhaps the reason for this is the disorganization of the entire team, or some part of it, or a complete misunderstanding of what is required of him. A manager should try to keep abreast of everything that is happening in his organization in order to be able to direct the situation in the right direction at the right time. Perhaps this will require assistants who are part of the work team. But these are nuances relating to different types of enterprises.

The unquestioning fulfillment of duties and work routine by employees in any case inspires respect for the enterprise as a whole, including among the employees themselves. And this, I repeat, is of considerable importance in the success of the entire company.

Ways of self-development

In addition to many classic ways of learning, such as reading books, watching webinars and practicing, there are two sure-fire methods to develop yourself by filling 5-10 minute pauses throughout the day.

  1. Help others. If you have very little experience behind you (but you have it, and it’s real), help the same newcomers. A few years, and you can already move on to mentoring or teaching. The main thing is to remember the responsibility entrusted to you.
  2. Blog. This is a very good way to keep yourself updated, and a few minutes is just enough time to browse a forum or read a post on another blog. As a result, you accumulate information within 2-3 days, systematize it, convey it to readers and receive feedback. In this case there is less responsibility, but more negativity. Be prepared for this.

For greater effect from the methods described above, work within the same topic, for example, “C language” or “Artificial intelligence in mobile applications.” The narrower the list of issues considered, the deeper your knowledge will be. Blog visitors and those you help will certainly appreciate it.

Organization

Zakharova Lyudmila, Ivanov Andrey, Ivanova Sandra

It’s difficult with three, and when you learn to organize three, the further number no longer matters. (quote from the film “Moscow Doesn’t Believe in Tears”)

Organization is a state of internal and external order, it is discipline and self-discipline, it is responsibility and maximum concentration on the action that is currently being done, it is the ability to effectively distribute energy and time, it is setting priorities and monitoring the implementation of what is planned. Signs of organization: Order

If you calculate how much time during the year people spend searching for the necessary documents at work, keys or other things at home, it will add up to weeks. On the contrary, when every thing has its place, problems do not arise. Order saves time, nerves and allows you to be efficient. An organized person does everything quickly. For the simple reason that he knows where he wrote down the required phone number, and on the table are only those papers that are related to his current work. Hence efficiency and good business reputation. Planning

In order to be effective and organized, you need to know what you will do and in what period of time. Therefore, planning is of key importance, which allows you to rationally calculate the implementation of important tasks, approaching the intended goal, taking into account a person’s everyday interests, etc. It is important to buy food for home on time, leave the house in clothes appropriate for the weather, manage the family budget in an organized manner - this will allow you to have debts and loans, and create a family reserve fund. In general, being organized allows you to live without headaches. Life becomes orderly and rich because thanks to organization, you yourself make it so. And even if something doesn’t go according to plan, there is always a safety net or “Plan B”. Harmony

An organized person does not have the “work or rest” dilemma. The ability to calculate and plan time allows you to harmoniously combine both. Such people rarely stay late at work, because they work at work, and do not spend hours drinking coffee or taking a cigarette break. They almost never take work on weekends. At the same time, the results of their work are high, and rest relaxes and restores strength. In this case, the person does not continue to think about unfinished work. An organized person finds time to work and to relax, to communicate with relatives, with friends, to renovate the apartment, and to read books... Calmness

An organized person is calm. He is much less susceptible to stress than others for the simple reason that he is freed from it thanks to his effective planning and implementation of the plan. In the morning, an organized person gets up on time, which allows him to have a normal breakfast and go to work on time. On the way to work, he is not nervous because he is not late. The work is progressing according to plan, which means there is no need to worry and freak out. Lack of stress is the basis for good health, good health, and prevention of cardiovascular diseases. He is not at risk of burnout syndrome because he always knows when to stop and take a break. The pace of life of an organized person is not as crazy as that of everyone else. Efficiency

An organized person quickly and skillfully copes with assigned tasks, does not waste time on trifles, knows how to analyze his abilities and uses them with maximum benefit. Belief in luck and success, faith in oneself, as well as creativity in the most ordinary matters are the key to his effective actions. 2. Descriptive part a) Associations of organization: The physical body of a person, a card index in the library, sheet music (expression - like a sheet music), a snowflake, ballroom dance... Organization is natural for a person. This is confirmed by our body – the physical body. All body systems complement and care for each other. The body marks the passage of time with astronomical accuracy and coordinates with it all its physiological processes, as well as the activities of internal organs and systems. The heart and lungs function rhythmically, muscles contract and relax, excitation and inhibition alternate in the central nervous system. Thanks to this rhythmic activity, the long-term performance of individual organs and the body as a whole is maintained. Most people work, rest and eat at the same hours. At the same time, a dynamic skill is formed, thanks to which habitual tasks require less effort, and the forces expended in the process of work are restored faster and more fully.

(Baranova S.V.)

Sound - Japanese drums, symphony orchestra with conductor; color – rainbow (the flow of color creates consonance); the smell is meadow herbs. b) Setting:

We feel like we are standing in an endless summer meadow. Pre-dawn darkness. There are a lot of different flowers in the meadow. We choose the most consonant flower we like. Before dawn, the calyx of a flower is closed, that is, the petals are closed. We begin to approach the flower with our attention, flow into it and become this flower ourselves. Now we feel the pre-dawn silence, we feel how a light, light breeze touches us. We feel how the currents of energy begin to accelerate inside, we feel the approach of sunrise - and then the first thin, thin golden ray of the rising sun falls on the bud. We feel the increasing radiation of the sun and feel how the petals of the bud are straightened: first one petal, then the second, the third... We strive to grow, stretch as high as possible upward - towards the flow of golden sun rays. The energy of life fills us, fills every cell of our being, brings with it joy and happiness, lightness and renewal. Let's imbue ourselves with a powerful force - the power of organization! c) How is organization demonstrated: - in the intellectual sphere - the ability to plan, highlight the main thing, analyze and draw the right conclusions - in the emotional sphere - the ability to maintain a positive, life-affirming emotional state in any, even the most complex and difficult situation - in the physical body - neatness, beauty, health, flexibility, endurance When the mind is in harmony with the soul - everything goes well and the soul sings, and the body “flies”, there is joy in the family and society does not irritate. d) Verse: Organized can be seen by his gait, Neat and in tune with time. He arrives on time for the date, with flowers and a tie to boot. 3. Ways and methods of developing organization 3.1 How to become organized? • Get up when the alarm clock rings. Yes, yes, you don’t need to wait for the second and third, much less let yourself sleep for “5 minutes.” All this leads to delays and stress. Get up immediately - at the first call of the alarm clock. • Maintain a daily routine. Of course, it’s difficult to get up at 6 on weekdays, at 12 on weekends, and then get up again at 6 after the weekend. Don’t put yourself under such stress. Get up and go to bed at the same time every day. Also try to have meals at the same hours. A daily routine is a great thing. Each person’s routine should include a certain time for work, rest, eating, walking in the fresh air and sleeping. It is advisable to distribute the day as follows: 8 hours of work, 8 hours of active rest and 8 hours of sleep. Systematic lack of sleep leads to imbalance of the nervous system and psyche, decreased performance, increased fatigue, and increased susceptibility to various diseases. Speaking about the daily routine, do not reduce the routine to a caricature with excessive pedantry. The daily routine is a kind of core on which weekdays and weekends are based; it is necessary to implement what is planned and manage everything that needs to be done. • To plan. Plan your life carefully. To do this, get yourself a diary and write down everything you do at work and around the house. This will allow you not to forget anything and will make your every day successful. • Being organized starts with your appearance. Neatness and composure, posture and gait, attention to the smallest details of your appearance are the first sign of organization. • Analysis. The path to organization lies through controlling and structuring your own actions throughout the day. Analyzing real actions and the time that goes into them, set yourself a higher bar every day: reducing the time for usual actions, of course, without compromising their quality, set yourself more complex tasks. • Keep a notebook of positive experiences. Positive experience is a great thing! Collect your and other people's victories and successes and write them down. Re-reading gives you an influx of strength! • Determine your main dream, for which you need organization. Write it down on a piece of paper and hang it where you will see it most often. This way you will always remember the main thing! • Periodically arrange training stress situations for yourself in order to model and predict your behavior in a real crisis situation. By analyzing your strengths and weaknesses and drawing conclusions about your subconscious reactions, you can learn to control them. 3.2 What prevents you from being organized?

Disorganization, looseness, slackness, lack of composure, inability to say “no.” If you want to manage your time, the ability to say “no” is absolutely necessary. Otherwise, you will be overwhelmed by matters that have absolutely nothing to do with you. You will waste your energy on people who don't deserve it. This is a weakness of character. You need to learn to refuse actions that do not interest you, politely but firmly.

(Sophia Loren)

Organization is a tool with which a person embodies his ideas, increases his power, and manifests himself as a Creator and Creator.

And most importantly, organization allows you to achieve any goals that a person sets for himself!
