The crisis of youth 17-21 - what it is, how to overcome it, a brief description of the features

First year of life

At this age, the baby begins to develop basic trust in the world and people. If parents really love their newborn son, give him a lot of attention, care and love, then the child will subconsciously be sure that:

  • he will always be okay;
  • he is surrounded by kind and friendly people;
  • he is truly worthy of attention and love.

If the parents neglect the child, do not show their emotions, constantly argue and sort things out, then in the future the boy will avoid people, be afraid of them, and think that life is a difficult test.

Scientists have proven that the subconscious of most men who sacrifice themselves for love and fall unrequitedly in love, in the first year of life received the instruction that love must be earned, because no one loves anyone just like that.

The concept of age categories

Age classification is a way of dividing citizens of different ages into categories. They are formed by uniting individuals according to identical characteristics, as well as according to the significance of their role in socio-demographic processes. The criteria for age categories are different in relation to the purpose of the study.

For example, in a science such as demography, grouping into one-year or five-year life spans is considered the most effective. To study fertility factors, attention is paid to 2 specific indicators: a woman’s marriageable age and the period of her life when she is at the peak of her reproductive capacity.

In economics, a classification of 3 groups is accepted:

  • able to work;
  • able-bodied;
  • after work.

Age categories of people by year in Russia and the world. WHO group table 2020 Age categories of people according to WHO
The well-known age classification, which formed the basis of all modern variations, was developed by Boris Urlanis.

He divided the population into 3 main groups:

  • Pre-working – part of citizens under 14 years of age. These include infants under 24 months of age, preschoolers from 3 to 7 years old, and schoolchildren up to 14 years old.
  • Working – period between 15 and 60 years. This group included young representatives of society no younger than 16 and no older than 24, people in the period of maturity aged 24 to 45, as well as those who were no younger than 45 and no older than 59 years old, experiencing a period of secondary maturity.
  • Post-working – all citizens over 60 years of age, including elderly people from 60 to 70, then the so-called “early old age” begins in the interval between 70 to 79, all subsequent years were called very old age.

The age categories of people by year (divisions) are arbitrary.

It is impossible to establish exact gradations, since human life is a continuous cyclical development. We should not forget about the individual characteristics of the climate, the ecological situation in the region and the genetic side of the study. Despite the existence of a whole range of classifications, none of them is officially recognized as generally accepted.

Two to three years

During this period of life, the boy faces a difficult choice: to be independent or to be indecisive. If parents give their son the opportunity to take initiative and make some decisions on his own, then in the future such a boy will turn into a responsible man who knows how to solve issues and overcome various life difficulties.

If parents constantly look after their child, do not allow him anything and forbid everything, then the boy will grow up to be an indecisive young man who is dependent on the opinions of the people around him. Such a man will always think about whether other people will approve or disapprove of his behavior. He will perceive his soulmate not as an equal person, but as salvation from the oppressive feeling of loneliness.

Instead of shouting to your child: “Be careful, otherwise you will fall and break everything in the world!”, you should simply walk with your son next to him and belay him.

At two or three years old, the baby learns what is “good” and “bad”, what can be done and what cannot be done. The boy must be explained what he can show an active interest in, and what he should not touch at all.

Six to eleven years

The boy is actively developing self-esteem. The child is looking for answers to the following questions:

  • Am I successful?
  • Am I a capable student?
  • Am I very good at something and can I learn it?
  • Am I coping well with challenges?
  • Am I able to achieve my plans?
  • How exactly do I solve problems that arise at home, on the street or at school?

Parents should not demand too much from their son during this period of time. But you shouldn’t let everything take its course either, otherwise the child will develop an inferiority complex. Monitor your son unobtrusively and offer him your help. But if a boy says that he can handle it on his own, it is necessary to give him the opportunity to prove it in practice. A child should not be afraid to try, otherwise the boy will turn into an indecisive man who will not be able to take an extra step without the approval of others.

If a child attends some kind of club and is actively interested in something, then he definitely needs to be encouraged. He will understand that he is doing everything right, and will become a more confident person in himself and his abilities in the future.

Fear of unplanned pregnancy

There are young people who are afraid of sex like fire.
In their opinion, the very first sexual intercourse will definitely end in failure. “I’m too young for this,” you’ll say, and you’ll be right. However, nowadays there are many methods of protection. These are not only condoms, but also drugs, taking which a woman can prevent unwanted pregnancy.

Virgin at 22: what's wrong with me? Igor Lapin will tell

Of course, you should remember that unprotected sex is unsafe. And interrupted sexual intercourse is not a guarantee that the girl will not get pregnant.

Twelve to seventeen years old

At this age, the boy says goodbye to childhood and prepares to become a full-fledged member of society. Remaining a child or trying on the role of an adult is a choice that every representative of the stronger sex at this age has to make.

The boy asks himself these questions:

  • Who am I?
  • Who am i?
  • How can I find out the rules by which adults live, and whether they will suit me?
  • What is justice, love and happiness?
  • What are my life guidelines and values?
  • What is the meaning of my life?
  • Why do some people live poorly and others live well?
  • What do I want to achieve in adulthood?
  • Do I need to study to become a productive member of society?

To find the right answers to these important questions, the young man begins to strive to make decisions independently and independently of his parents and other people. The teenager wants adults to take him seriously and treat him as an equal. Therefore, it often provokes disputes, discussions, and conflict situations.

If parents treat their son adequately during this period of time, then he will grow into a successful and independent man. If parents are not interested in their son’s problems and forbid him everything, the young man can turn into an infantile man who does only as his parents say, or does nothing at all, but simply blames others for all his failures.

Midlife crisis: 24 – 35 years old

Career and its active growth are what interests a man during this period of time. Many representatives of the stronger sex have a desire to give up everything and start life from scratch.

A man who has not created a family before this time begins to look for a girl who would become his wife. A married guy wants to change at least something in his family life and introduce some innovations. If the wife does not react in any way, then the man can take a mistress or get a divorce.

To avoid these problems, a man needs to work on himself and his life, take stock, reconsider his values and set specific goals. Only by finding inner harmony and peace will you be able to move on.

Midlife crisis in men at 30

Thirty-six to forty-five years

The pursuit of material values no longer seems as exciting and exciting as it seemed five to eight years ago. A man begins to understand that life goes by quickly and there is a lot to do.

Fear of rapidly approaching old age or comprehensive self-realization - every representative of the stronger sex during this period of time must sooner or later make his choice! Until the age of thirty-six, a young man accumulates knowledge and experience. After thirty-six, when youth is already left behind, you need to start using this knowledge. A wise man builds relationships with his soulmate, raises children, does what he loves, and tries to create something valuable in order to leave a mark.

The same man who was unable to successfully overcome previous age-related crises begins to regret that life passed too quickly, everything around him changed rapidly, he did not have time to live properly, enjoy being, etc. In this case, you need to analyze your life, reassess your values and realize that all is not lost, because maturity is no worse than youth or youth.

Ideal image

A very good reason why guys remain virgins at 22 is because of high standards. A man hopes to find an innocent lady, or is in search of a fashion model with an ideal body and character. Each of these options is a dead end. You need to date on the basis of mutual sympathy, and not strict selection. Later, people open up to each other: they accept some things and change others for the sake of their partner. This is normal, this is how relationships are built. Sex is an integral part of them.
Also, look at yourself from the outside and think carefully about whether you correspond to the level of the women you are looking for.
