What is hypnosis at a distance - a description of the technique of remote influence without the person’s knowledge

The concept of hypnosis in science

Method of going into trance in a hypnologist's office

There is terminology that is used to describe the state of being completely immersed in consciousness.

  • Hypnosis. A relaxed, focused mood achieved by a person in a phase of fatigue or drowsiness.
  • Hypnotism. The process used to induce a trance state. A typical induction of such absorption may include audible breathing, closing the eyes, and saying a countdown.
  • Hypnotherapy. Refers to the use of trance as therapy. Trained professionals help patients achieve self-improvement goals through suggestible moods.

Experienced scientists belonging to the latter category know how to put a person into hypnosis unnoticed, since they have limitless experience behind them. The technique is based on the subject’s trust in the interlocutor, a vulnerable state. It is enough to make sure that the person is in a relaxed state and monotonously tell a fictitious story. You can't raise your voice. The peculiarity is that in the story there must be a character with his name, and the events must be confused, disrupting concentration. Thus, the actions of the hero of the story through the sleepy veil of the listener will be reflected in his future decisions in real life.

Help with hypnosis

Find out from your partner in advance what he would like to get from the session. Maybe he wants to get an important answer or remember some thing hidden deep in the subconscious, or maybe he needs to calm his nervous system. Hypnosis is widely used to treat physical ailments, phobias, and obsessive states. Depending on the goal, choose the direction of hypnosis. Do not impose your thoughts on the object, so as not to undermine his trust.

If a person is worried about a specific problem, invite him to visualize a couple of possible solutions to it, depending on how he sees his future. If his goal is to quit smoking, let him imagine one day without cigarettes. The main task of the hypnotist is to maintain cooperation: not to impose his thoughts, but to lead the patient to his own decision and healing.

Hypnotherapy: Taming the Unconscious

Going into trance can be thought of as meditation, with a set goal ahead. They are similar in achieving a specific task: relax and concentrate on rest. The main difference is that if you put a person into a state of hypnosis, as experienced specialists do, the individual’s level of awareness will increase.

Neural networks of our consciousness

By beginning to explore the subconscious, the patient can improve brain activity and understand non-verbal cues. The process includes three stages:

  • Induction. To begin with, at a gradual pace, the person is introduced into hypnosis as soon as he is completely relaxed. The patient sits in a chair (sometimes lies down on a sofa or bed to make him feel comfortable and cozy) with his eyes closed. The professional may also use controlled breathing techniques or a imaginary script to relieve the person of tension and focus on the voice. Some people use audio recordings, but they have less effect.
  • Hypnotic state. Following the induction, the patient falls into a trance. After this he feels mentally and physically relaxed. Increased levels of calm, concentration and awareness.
  • Suggestion. In the third phase, it is easy to see whether a person can be put into hypnosis, since the replacement and renewal of subconscious thoughts is activated. Sentences can be formed in different ways. Traditional hypnosis, for example, uses direct commands, while Ericksonian hypnosis uses metaphors. Neurolinguistic programming of the mind, however, works differently because it imitates thought patterns.

When consciously immersing yourself in a state of trance, handy means are also used: watches or shiny jewelry that attracts attention.

Breaking out of trance

Proper completion of the process is of great importance for the current and subsequent sessions. It should occur gradually, without sudden changes and shocks to the nervous system:

  • notify your partner that he will return to the real environment as soon as you count to five;
  • use the “staircase” technique in the opposite direction - up;
  • when you count to “five”, sharply wave your hands up, as if “lifting” the person under your charge, pronounce the last number loudly and clearly.

Based on how deeply your client is immersed in a trance, adjust the speed of exiting it. The higher the force of influence, the slower the exit from it should be. After completing the session, allow your partner to come to his senses and be in silence. Ask him about what he felt and saw while in trance. Take into account his comments and wishes for further work.

Hypnotherapy: how does it help?

Insomnia can be treated with hypnosis

The subconscious mind controls almost all psychological aspects. It generates 95% of its thinking autonomously. Being fixated on unwanted behavior, few know how a person is put into hypnosis and why the technique can relieve serious problems.

  • Phobias and fears. Long-term work helps disentangle associations that hold terrible memories or thoughts in place. Hypnosis helps with fears of flying, driving, growing up, doctors or dentists, insects, intimacy.
  • Habits. They become ingrained in the mind through repetition and reinforcement. Smokers are susceptible to a series of triggers: stress, eating, driving or boredom. Knowing how to put a person into hypnosis, specialists explore unconscious addictions to emotions and help get rid of substance abuse, gambling, overeating and procrastination.
  • Restless thinking. The trance state provides new information that establishes more positive associations. Hypnosis can help with social, academic, and stage anxiety.
  • Negative perception of one's personality. The subconscious controls a person's opinion of himself. Negative thoughts are formed when they affect self-esteem and confidence. Using the technique of suggestion, professionals help to see positive information, cope with criticism, negativism and indecision.
  • Health problems. Negative thoughts lead to illness. For example, insomnia is characterized by fear or anxiety. Finding the problem helps with stress, hypochondria, headaches, treatment of chronic pain, agoraphobia and impotence.

Thus, hypnotherapy is effective for a number of unconsciously motivated conditions.

Remote hypnosis techniques

There are several influence techniques:

  • By photo.
  • At a short distance.
  • For the treatment of animals/plants.
  • For human treatment.

Such manipulations are easy for people who have imaginative thinking and skillfully control the state of their mental balance. Treatment with hypnosis at a distance is not used for mentally ill people or epileptics.

By photo

The technique is intended to influence people located at a great distance from the hypnotist. During the manipulations, the hypnotist should be alone and feel relaxed.

Concentrate on the image of the suggestible person while looking at the photograph. Plunge into a semi-trance state. When you realize that the connection has been established, begin repeating the intended command out loud. When pronouncing words, you need to be focused on the result, your own feelings at the moment of achieving the goal. This flow of energy, a whirlwind of thoughts will be transmitted to the suggestible, and he will perceive the command positively, as if it were his own decision to do so.

At a short distance

The reception is designed more for practice in pairs with mutual consent. The hypnotist is in one room, and the suggestible is in another. In this situation, it is important to learn how to interact. The hypnotist mentally sends his feelings and desires, and the suggested one fulfills them. This technique allows you to quickly acquire telekinesis skills. Both participants learn to read minds.

Treatment of animals and plants

The method is intended not only for treating pets and plants, but also for communicating with them. Sit down opposite the person in need of help and put yourself in a state of semi-trance, relax your subconscious and body muscles. Look at your pet, close your eyes and visualize its image.

Repeat the manipulation until the subconscious image completely coincides with the real one. At this point you will establish a telepathic connection with your pet. Exhaling air, give the setting. Pay attention to how you feel at this moment. Close your eyes and you can see the picture sent by your pet’s subconscious. Over time, with constant practice, you will be able to ask your pet questions and receive specific answers to them, displayed in pictures.

Types of going into trance

One of the ways to go into trance

Experts use three techniques to access secret information. They also allow you to find out how to quickly put a person into hypnosis. It is impossible to obtain accurate data about yourself if you use only one of the methods.

  • Traditional hypnosis. Relaxation opens the door to consciousness, where clues to the problem appear. This type is often used on people without analytical thinking. Simple commands are used: “don’t smoke”, “everything will be fine”, “soon you will feel better.”
  • Ericksonian hypnosis. Sentences are replaced by metaphors and short stories. This helps the mind make the connection between the association and the intended behavior, hiding the message from the critical mind. Metaphors are disguised in short sentences in stories.
  • Neurolinguistic programming (NLP). In order to learn how to introduce hypnosis in this way, you will need to become a professional. The technique is similar to talk therapy: a specialist will guide the client through unpleasant memories and identify behavioral triggers. NLP gets rid of negative associations, for example, about morning coffee, which causes cravings for sweets.

The unconscious side can always be discovered with the help of an experienced professional and bad habits or fears can be eliminated.

What methods do street hypnotists use?

First of all, criminals try to establish personal contact with a person. They may talk to you about abstract topics or offer to buy a product or service. Be especially careful if you see that someone is trying to copy your gestures or conversation, is imposing their problems on you, or is speaking too suspiciously and monotonously. Fraudsters adapt to gestures, words and even breathing. If you notice something like this, immediately break all ties with this person.

Very often, scammers position themselves close to people. They take your hand, touch your shoulders, or simply ask what time it is. Your task is to cut off all contacts with this person, especially if he has a gypsy appearance.

Most often, impressive women are subjected to gypsy hypnosis. Before approaching the victim, the scammer carefully selects him. As a rule, a suspicious and receptive nature can be seen from afar.

Options for going into trance

Attempt to hypnotize

There are three ways to inspire what you want. Scientists highlight the following:

  • Self-hypnosis. Management occurs independently. Having constructed a scenario in advance and calculated the steps, the person induces a trance and continues to recite the memorized text. The session lasts five minutes.
  • Guided hypnosis. A pre-recorded trance session is used. The audio includes an introduction, steps, and suggestions for specific conditions.
  • Clinical hypnosis. Can only be used with a specialist in person or via video conference.

The last option is considered the most effective, since the professional finds individual problems, connections and builds on them.

Relaxation technique

The patient is relaxed

During a session with a specialist, the first thing the client is asked to do is sit on the sofa or lie down. Relaxation is a key element in learning how to put people into hypnosis, as is feeling comfortable. The most common sequence:

  • Make yourself comfortable.
  • Lie down.
  • Countdown.
  • Control your breathing.
  • Relax your muscles.
  • Speak quietly.

The hypnosis technique is designed for beginners. Once put into a trance state, a person becomes open to suggestion. Indirect sentences should be used and irritating sounds should be excluded from speech.

Method 4.

This hypnosis technique is called the “Three Hand Shakes Method.” Introducing the patient into a trance in this case is determined by the formation of the person’s expectation of certain sensations. We explain to the patient what he will experience with each handshake: focusing on sensations, relaxation, falling into a drowsy state.

Now let's move on to the practical part of hypnosis. The first time, shaking hands, we say: “You feel warm and comfortable”; with the second handshake: “You close your eyes, you are completely relaxed; with the third: “You are falling asleep. Sleep!".

Reframing

The technique is used as a broad metaphor, allowing you to change the perception of lived experience in the mind. For example, a client wants to lose weight, but he doesn’t have enough willpower, so he gives up and prefers to play on the computer. Reframing introduces a person into hypnosis as a virtual character on an unconscious level. The specialist asks how much time is spent on the game and listens to the story about the process of “pumping up”. Afterwards there is a rethinking and indirect comparison with a real person.

Losing weight is like upgrading a character in a video game because it requires effort and daily practice. At the beginning there is not much difference, but over time the characteristics become stronger.

Human consciousness resembles space

Immersion in a trance state is safe and useful for correcting mental characteristics, defects and getting rid of phobias, bad habits and fears. It is important to consider that practice and regular training are needed before using techniques. There are many paths to the unconscious and there are no wrong ways to get to the truth.

Exercises

The hypnotist must have a strong aura and special energy. If desired, the talent of a medium can be developed in oneself.

One of the most powerful weapons for influencing a hypnotized opponent is the gaze. In order for it to have magnetic power, training will be needed.

Do the following exercises:

  1. On a piece of paper, draw a circle with a radius of 3 cm. Place the paper so that the figure is at eye level. Stand 2 m away from it and look straight at the circle without blinking. Gradually increase your attention span: lacrimation will stop over time.
  2. Next, you can start training in front of the mirror. Focus your gaze on the bridge of your nose: first for a minute, then increase the time. When you can easily do the exercise, move on to portraits, photographs, and just try to hypnotize another person.

Another weapon is the power of thought. Learn to hear the voices in your head and send signals to those around you.

Try stopping a running dog or calming a child with the power of your thoughts. To do this, you should be extremely careful in your thoughts, imagine the brain of the object of hypnosis and, silently pronouncing the message, direct it in the right direction.
