The idea of life
This concept is used in connection with the maintenance and preservation of human life. In this sense, life activity is understood as a set of processes that ensure the flow of biological processes in the human body. However, people are not only biological individuals, but also social beings. Therefore, the concept of life activity is also interpreted as our pressure within the framework of public life. From this perspective, various spheres of human life are highlighted. And the concept of life activity is used not only in its literal meaning, but also in an expanded understanding. In this case, it is worth paying attention to the etymology of the term. Its first root denotes the form of existence of matter, but in addition to its biological meaning, it has a broader interpretation. In this case, life is understood as the period of existence of someone (for example, a person’s life from birth to death). To this day, this word has one meaning - the fullness of the manifestation of spiritual and physical strength. In this sense, the feast (of life) is opposed to existence.
The second root of the term in question is also polysemantic. In psychology, activity is understood as a meaningful and purposeful interaction between a person and a person. There are several main types of activity: communication, work, giggles and giggles, teaching. Thus, this term can be interpreted purely as a person’s interaction with the world, which occurs in different forms throughout its existence.
What are the spheres of life
The definition of spheres of life sounds like a set of goals, actions and social contacts that are interconnected. Examples of such areas include career, relationships, health, and others.
There is disagreement in psychology on this issue. Each specialist provides his own list of areas of vital activity. Some people identify 5 basic spheres, others – seven. There is no single correct list. Each person independently determines the spheres based on their own values.
Some people artificially separate different spheres of human life. To a certain extent, this is correct, because improving life in general is very difficult. It is much more reasonable to influence each aspect of it in a certain unit of time.
Happy man with balance of different spheres
Even this recommendation can be wrong. For example, parents often tell their children: “first you will have a great career, and then you will start to deal with your personal life.” But what prevents you from combining? You just need to set boundaries correctly and at one time improve skills that may be useful in future work, and at another time go on a date. Such parents advise disturbing the balance, which harms their offspring. It is better to focus on smaller time periods and spend time improving each area of a person's life throughout the day.
Important! Very often, what areas of life are considered basic are dictated by society. You don't need to pay attention to him. Everyone is the architect of their own happiness; public opinion in this matter can only hinder.
Biological vital functions
Within the framework of biology and the theory of life safety, this concept is understood as a collection of biological processes that support human life. In this aspect, it is important to count substances as a certain set of chemical reactions, which supports the course of life. Another concept that is associated with biological life is homeostasis. It refers to the system’s ability to self-regulate, to maintain stability and dynamic balance. In this interpretation, the main spheres of human life include production and household areas. In them, a person obtains his means of subsistence and ensures the renewal of his own resources in the process of rest and work.
Social tone
In addition to the biological idea of life in the humanities, we can talk about the social aspect of this phenomenon. Within the framework of social relations, population reproduction occurs, and again, people are provided with the necessary resources to meet their needs. The actors are not only the biological system. He also exists in society and this makes him a person with specific needs and requirements. With the intention of being satisfied, in order to develop harmoniously, a person needs unequal areas to apply his strength. The realization of a person in different spheres is a condition for the fullness of his life and happiness. All spheres of human activity must be harmoniously interconnected in a row.
Multifaceted personality development
Knowing the strategic directions of self-development, you can find that working on them is very exciting if a person follows his own path, and not the distorted and imposed one by society. A person builds his own world, forms his own unique way of life. With gaining an understanding of the significance of each area and their mutual influence on each other, comes the awareness of the integrity and harmony of this world.
The individual learns to set goals and find ways to achieve them with interest and enthusiasm and, over time, achieves mastery in integrating all directions of life. This skill helps a person realize his destiny to the fullest.
It is necessary to draw up your personal plan, based on the listed strategic directions of self-development, put everything on the shelves and set priorities. At the end of a certain period, you should summarize what has been done and what could not be done and, in accordance with the results, amend the developed plan.
The goal should be a daily incentive. If a person does not understand why he is trying or does not see results, the level of motivation decreases. Therefore, if there is not enough incentive, you need to remember why the process was initially launched. A clear plan that includes strategic directions for self-development will help you control your thoughts and actions, take responsibility for your life and achieve positive changes.
It is important to develop in all areas purposefully and consciously, according to a drawn up plan indicating the allotted time. Otherwise, a person will take on everything and accomplish nothing. This kind of work is ineffective. You should admit to yourself that you need to tighten up where the most destructive and stagnant processes are and pay more attention to this.
By developing harmoniously strategic directions of self-development, a person will build an integrally effective life, achieve success and happiness. The activity of implementation depends on each person personally.
Spheres of life
There are several approaches to identifying the basic areas in which the people realize themselves and in which they provide themselves with the necessary resources and means of subsistence. The traditional approach reveals five areas:
- material development;
- axiological;
- scientific, or the production of theoretical knowledge;
- political, that is, management of social processes;
- social sphere of human life.
Each of the identified spheres has its own specific features and plays a different mission in a person’s life.
In psychology, it is customary to distinguish the following areas of human activity: physical, social, intellectual and spiritual will. Sociologists add legal and political to the above areas. Each of the discovered areas of human activity has a special significance in human life. In the theory of human self-realization, there are 7 key areas of his activity: divine and personal growth, health, career, finances, relationships and brightness of life.
Spheres of personality
As a person involved in self-development, you have probably thought about improving some skills. But there are so many of them that sometimes you don’t know what to take on. What is more important: willpower or determination? This and similar questions can be confusing. However, if you know about the concept of the personality sphere, it becomes much easier to understand. For example, knowing that willpower and determination belong to the same group of abilities, you can draw certain conclusions.
In the online program “Self-Knowledge” you can better know yourself and your individual characteristics. With the help of psychological tests and exercises, you will find out what you really want in life and understand your strengths and weaknesses.
Personality spheres are a set of human characteristics that characterize his actions, motivations, ways to achieve goals, perception of information, needs, etc. Such categorization is needed not only for those who are engaged in self-development, but also, for example, for companies that are looking for employees.
The following areas of human personality are distinguished:
- motivational;
- strong-willed;
- organic and social;
- educational.
In this article we will look at these areas of human personality and try to understand how they are formed and what they depend on.
Motivational sphere of personality
Each person has his own specific needs, which prompt him to engage in one or another behavior aimed at satisfying these needs.
The level and quantity of needs differ from person to person: this is due to living conditions, different lifestyles, level of organization and place in society.
If basic needs (food, drink, warmth) do not change much during life, except perhaps their quantity, then others (self-realization, search for the meaning of existence) evolve along with a person. Much depends on moral values.
If we talk about the structure of the motivational sphere of the individual, then despite some differences, certain trends can still be identified. Here is an approximate diagram:
- Organic (food and drink requirements).
- Material (need for property and money).
- Social (need for authority, respect, sense of justice, self-esteem).
- Spiritual (faith, increasing spiritual level).
Psychologists pay the main attention to the motivational sphere of the individual, because human behavior aimed at achieving goals depends on motivation. We have done many things in our lives solely because we wanted to.
Main characteristics of the motivational sphere of the individual:
- Motivational Power: If a person is motivated enough, he is capable of doing a lot.
- Dynamics of motives: changes in the strength and priority of motives.
- The sustainable nature of motives: they do not disappear after satisfying certain needs.
- Availability of structure: several needs can be combined into one motivation.
- The existence of a certain hierarchy: there are secondary and dominant motives.
- Flexible nature: Each person can meet their needs in different ways.
- Multiple in nature: an increase in the needs themselves, means and ways to satisfy such needs.
- Diversity of motives: a large number of incentives to action.
It should be remembered that the motivational sphere of the individual is only one of several. You cannot judge a person by it alone. Let's look at others.
Volitional sphere of personality
The volitional sphere of personality is a set of volitional qualities that characterizes a person in his ability to achieve goals in difficult conditions.
The three most important qualities in this area: determination, willpower, willpower.
Determination is the ability in any situation to remember the plans and be focused on it until the bitter end.
By learning the basics of time management, we understand the importance of goal setting. But because of the irritants, we lose focus and begin to do completely different things, while experiencing shame and trying to get rid of cognitive dissonance with the help of excuses and looking for justifications.
To cultivate determination, you must first use tricks that are not directly related to it: even simple stickers posted throughout the apartment will have a significant effect. But at the same time you need to develop willpower.
Willpower is a person’s ability to make difficult decisions, as well as direct their actions and thoughts in accordance with the decision made.
It is an incredibly important component in achieving success. Even if a person has a highly developed motivational sphere, gaps in the volitional sphere will drag him down with every failure.
Willpower is necessary both to perform an action and to refuse it (which is no less important). For example, giving up cake for a future in sports or giving up a party with friends to learn English. Nowadays there are the greatest number of temptations in the entire history of mankind, so having willpower is one of the most serious advantages.
It is now fashionable to think that willpower is overrated, but it is rather underrated (all outstanding personalities possessed it). And if you can combine it with motivation, you will achieve the most ambitious goals.
Grit is the level of consistency and repetition of effort a person puts into achieving a challenging goal over a long period of time. Simply put, it is a scale for measuring willpower.
Yes, willpower is a finite resource, but it can be increased. This is willpower: how many minutes or hours can you work on a task without getting any results?
The volitional sphere of personality is also manifested in other aspects of human life. For example, in risk propensity and locus of control.
Risk appetite is a characteristic of human behavior in uncertain situations. It is believed that developed willpower makes an individual more risk-taking.
Locus of control is a person's tendency to attribute his failures or successes to either internal or external factors. An individual with a developed volitional sphere will take full responsibility for failures and failures (without suffering from self-flagellation and guilt).
Such a person knows that only he is responsible for his life and even other people’s reactions to him. While a person with an external locus of control (blaming circumstances) develops a victim syndrome.
Organic and social sphere of personality
A person cannot be considered outside the context of society. In addition to the volitional and motivational sphere of personality, the organic and social spheres develop simultaneously (it was studied by the Russian psychiatrist and neuropathologist Vladimir Bekhterev).
The organic sphere manifests itself in reactions to stimuli from the surrounding world, while the social sphere has a connection with the establishment of mutual understanding with members of the society in which a person is located.
As Bekhterev emphasizes, “the complex process of development of the social sphere of the individual does not in any way eliminate the organic sphere of the individual, it only complements it, although it partially suppresses it, so to speak, layers on it new combinations arising from actions related to the conditions of social life.”
Bekhterev placed character at the very top of the social sphere of personality. And only then comes concentration and mental performance. At the same time, he emphasized that these parameters are greatly influenced by temperament.
He also argued that the personality is characterized by volitional manifestations, internal motives for actions and deeds, that is, those mental phenomena that in psychology and philosophy are associated with will.
Cognitive sphere of personality
The cognitive sphere of personality is a set of abilities with the help of which a person cognizes the phenomena of the world around him. There is an opinion that the totality of all these elements is called intelligence.
This sphere consists of the following components: perception, sensations, attention, imagination, memory, thinking.
Sensations are what our receptors perceive from the external or internal environment.
Perception is how we interpret signals received through the senses. That is, this phenomenon can be called psychological, because he can change his perception with the help of volitional effort and a change in thinking.
Attention helps us focus on one stimulus, choosing it from everything that is around.
Memory is very dependent on attention, because what is remembered best is what a person was focused on. At the same time, memory is closely connected with all other elements of the human cognitive sphere.
Imagination is a person’s ability to conjure up images in the mind. It is believed that this skill is unique to humans; it helps plan the achievement of complex goals.
Thinking is a person’s ability to analyze received information. Sensation, perception, attention, memory and imagination are food for the mind, which is then processed by thinking.

Physical niche
This area is often called the most important, because what kind of destinies it is connected with the continuation of human existence. The basic concept in this area is well-being. A person must maintain his health and provide his protozoa with the necessary resources. However, by focusing only on the physical aspects of its life, the mammal will lose the spiritual and social principles that make it human. As a result, the physical sphere is certainly important, but cannot be called the most important in human development.
The main areas of human life.
Personal and spiritual growth.
The inner world of a person is a rich range of emotions, feelings, fears, thoughts. Without being able to understand oneself, without loving oneself, a person will never be able to establish relationships with others and achieve other goals. Problems in this industry lead to reclusiveness, addiction to bad habits, TV, and the Internet.
This sphere shows:
- how a person is seen by others;
- does he know how to demonstrate himself correctly;
- does he have leadership abilities?
- what is his self-esteem?
Some authors separate spiritual and personal growth. The first involves the “education” of moral and emotional qualities. They help to react correctly to failures and assess what a person is willing to do to achieve success. The second concerns the sphere of creativity, business, and communication skills.
Take the self-esteem test
Friends and leisure.
This is an area of interest. This includes everything that falls under the definition of “hobby”. This word often confuses people, because the modern rhythm of life often does not leave time for themselves and their interests, so they limit themselves to watching TV shows and sleeping. This turns life into Groundhog Day.
This area shows:
- sociability and openness of a person (introvert, extrovert);
- How broad is your outlook?
- how a person positions himself in society;
- interests.
It is not necessary to have many friends or interests, just a few truly close and loved ones are enough.
Career and finance.
This is one of the most important areas of life. A person devotes a lot of time to her, often putting her above others. This is not just about making money, but about gaining respect among colleagues and demonstrating leadership qualities.
In this area you can understand:
- human ambitions;
- his attitude towards money;
- motivation;
- activity;
- the ability to build healthy relationships.
Lack of money causes stress. Failures at work prevent you from starting a family. For a man, this means that he will not be able to support his wife and children. A woman, on the contrary, can compensate for career failures by trying to completely immerse herself in a relationship, but in this way she puts herself in a dependent position.
Doing something you don't like turns life into a routine. A person becomes unhappy, which leads him to compensate through other areas of life. But often the inability to achieve success in a career harms the area of personal growth and interferes with building relationships due to self-doubt.
Health and active lifestyle.
An important area that is often remembered when failures occur in it. It is more advisable to take care of your health constantly. This also includes self-care and exercise. Doctors advise undergoing an examination once a year to assess the general condition of the body and identify diseases at an early stage. But people rarely resort to this.
In this area you can understand:
- how much a person cares about himself;
- active and easy-going;
- is there a commitment to a healthy lifestyle, is it turning into a cult.
Recently, there has been a boom in healthy lifestyles in the world. The number of vegans has increased, and the value of exercise is promoted. This is wonderful! But often the desire to lead a healthy lifestyle is motivated by the desire to “be like everyone else” or to be fashionable. This approach saves the body, but has a detrimental effect on personal growth, as it kills individuality and makes self-esteem dependent on the opinions of others.
Take a character test
Family and relationships.
This sphere can be divided into two parts: a person’s existing family, in which he grew up, and the relationships that he will build to create his own new unit of society. Relationships with parents determine the behavior of a person with the opposite sex.
The need to create a family should be individual, and not inspired by society. Often the desire to get married is based on the fact that “it’s time”, “all my friends have been married for a long time.” Fear of loneliness can also be triggered. These are the wrong motivators, which more often lead to unhappy family life and divorce. Happy relationships are built solely on a mutual desire to be together; third parties should not interfere in them.
In this area you can determine:
- person's character;
- leadership qualities, ability to take responsibility;
- personality maturity;
- the ability to find balance between different areas of life.
This last point is very important, since many sacrifice relationships for the sake of a career, are too absorbed in personal growth, or prefer to spend more time with friends. When it is a conscious choice, there is nothing wrong with it, but the reasons may be psychological.
Social area
This area includes relationships between people, groups, classes, and institutions. Traditionally, the social sphere is associated with public institutions: social services, education systems, housing and communal services, healthcare, etc. The production and reproduction of people requires the satisfaction of various needs. And for this, a person needs various benefits created in various spheres of life. Association is the environment in which we spend our entire fairy tale (life). Therefore, the social aspects of human activity are associated with the functioning of basic institutions, with the social roles of a person, with his belonging to certain classes and groups. No matter how society as a sphere of people’s life is connected, first of all, with relationships between people, although interaction with institutions is of great significance. For human development, it is extremely important to build harmonious connections with others.

All cognitive spheres of a person’s personality and their elements are amenable to training.
Intellectual sphere
Considering the spheres of human life, it is impossible to describe (to ignore the area of production of thoughts, ideas, images. The intellectual sphere naturally includes development in the profession, setting life goals, reflection on the meaning of life, working with emotions, cognitive and creative function. Also given The sphere is associated with the consumption of intellectual products produced by other people.The people must develop their thinking, since satisfaction with the existing state of affairs, its treasure, and the meaningfulness of life depend on this.
Development of spheres of life.
The importance of the main areas of life.
All areas of a person's life are important. A person who has problems with personal growth will not be able to achieve success at work and in his personal life, and will most likely experience problems with psychological health. A careerist and workaholic will put his family on a financial pedestal, will face overwork, and difficulties communicating with friends outside his field of activity.
People who have given themselves up to their family and abandoned their careers may, over time, remember their spouses what they sacrificed for them, feel dissatisfied about this and destroy the marriage. Each sphere is a piece of life. You can't sacrifice any of them.
Achieving harmony.
Change begins with changing yourself. Sometimes a person is unable to improve this area on his own, so he turns to psychologists. The development of a harmonious personality involves:
- getting rid of prohibitions, restrictions, false beliefs;
- destruction of stereotypes;
- understanding desires and setting goals;
- development of strengths and talents;
- search and disclosure of “dormant” abilities;
- training in generosity, determination, honesty.
In practice, this looks like signing up for foreign language courses, dance lessons, or helping at an animal shelter. Listening to affirmations, meditation, and playing sports helps. Personal growth will help in building a career, spiritual growth is a direct path to building harmonious relationships and family.
Take the brain hemisphere test
New acquaintances and ways to expand interests.
To develop this area, you need to devote time to your favorite activity at least once a week. It is better if it is held outside the home so that there is contact with like-minded people. Time with friends is priceless, it's worth engaging them in your interests or adopting what they do. It would be nice to try new things together. Attend trainings and courses, master classes and exhibitions. You can go to new establishments that are opening in the city.
What matters is what kind of people surround a person. You should stay away from pessimists who constantly complain about life. It's contagious, just like optimism. Therefore, it is better to be charged with positivity and get inspired.
(Money can not buy happiness.
As much as I would like to say, money is not the main thing, but much in life depends on its availability. Buying clothes, housing, food, daily spending on entertainment - often the quality of life is assessed precisely by money.
If funds are not enough, you can look for additional sources or change jobs. The same applies to cases when the existing place is not morally satisfactory. If it is not yet possible to change jobs, you can try to improve the microclimate: make friends with colleagues, furnish the workplace in your own way (if this is allowed or appropriate).
For example, change the screensaver on your computer to a more pleasant one, put a photo with your family or friends on your desktop. Don't be afraid to look for a new job, take initiative, or ask for a raise if you think it's warranted.
A healthy body is a happy soul.
Taking time to stay healthy is important. Even if you don’t want to undergo examinations, you can adjust your life so that everything is in order in this area. You can do this in several ways:
- going to a fitness club or jogging on your own;
- proper nutrition;
- compliance with hygiene rules;
- attention to the body (fighting excess weight, maintaining posture, optimal distance from the eyes to the monitor, etc.);
- visiting health and relaxation treatments (massage, spa, aromatherapy, sauna)
A beautiful and healthy body will inspire and delight.
Relationships are like living organisms.
Development in this area of life concerns both the search for a new partner and the establishment of relationships with an existing one. In both cases it is important:
- look for common ground with a partner, common interests;
- lead a social life (this will help single people find a couple, and family men develop other areas of life);
- be able to listen and share;
- understand your role in the relationship, perform only it, without taking on the responsibilities of your partner;
- periodically share goals to understand whether they coincide.
A person finds time for everything he wants. If the lack of relationships leads to a feeling of unhappiness, you should think about what areas interfere with their construction and correct the imbalance.
A happy person is the one whose spheres of life are full, and there is no feeling of lack in emotions, love, money, health. Periodically, you need to conduct self-diagnosis, identify distortions and listen to your inner voice, which will tell you where you need to invest more and where you are going too far.

Spiritual realm
If you consider yourself an ace in the question of which areas of human life are especially significant, then, perhaps, this area should be given first place. It includes relationships and activities in the process of creating and consuming spiritual values, and in addition their distribution and preservation. This area includes cultural institutions: theaters, museums, educational institutions, libraries. Treasure and higher-order needs are considered components of spiritual activity. Within the framework of this form of activity, the public generates new images, ideas, produces works of art, new theories and worldviews, and norms. This area also includes spiritual connections between people.
Factors that influence the effective performance of professional activities
Every person is ready to work if he has an interest in work. In order for professional activity to come first, motivation for success is necessary. If a person sees meaning in the future, then he will strive for improvement.
There is an opinion that there are two factors that will help stimulate an individual to professional activity:
1. Material factors.
- An agreement is concluded on the binding of material remuneration. If employees are stimulated financially, then work efficiency will be increased. This affects the material well-being of the entire enterprise as a whole.
- Bonuses for employees. If a person knows that he will receive a bonus for a job well done, then he will give his best in his professional activities.
- Increase in salary for qualifications. Additional funding for the best employees will provide an incentive for other people to work better.
- Providing benefits. It is more pleasant for every person to work if travel or food (partially or fully), trips to the sea, and camp sites are paid for.
2. Psychological factors.
- Celebration organization. Employees will be happy to relax with colleagues after working days. These days they are happy not to think about work, but to communicate with each other on abstract topics.
- Writing certificates and thanks stimulates a person to work. He understands that he brings benefits to his enterprise. This increases labor productivity.
- The regime is not only for work moments, but also for rest. Every employee is pleased to know that at the workplace he can not only work, but also relax.
- Professional growth (career). If a person knows that improvement awaits him in the future, he will be able to strive for improvement. To do this, it is necessary to create the necessary conditions for employees: update knowledge and skills (organize a variety of courses and trainings to improve their skills).
- Professional activity involves creating conditions for friendly relations with colleagues. A good team atmosphere will make work more enjoyable.
Ensuring professional performance will help employees adhere to these factors. As a result, you will be able to increase profits at the company, as well as improve product quality, prestige and labor potential through friendly relations in the team.
Legal area
The condition for the preservation of society is the protection of the rights of citizens and responsibility for their violation. Legal relations are established between people, and equally in the relations between man and the state. They are designed to streamline relations between citizens, protect their rights and freedoms, and make social justice possible. Regulatory mechanisms are divided into prohibitive and permissive. The circles of law penetrate into many other areas of human activity. In areas of life, human rights are divided into civil, social, political, economic and cultural. The use of rights ensures the legal status of the individual and forms in citizens a responsible attitude towards various types of their activities.
Political sphere
Human life requires interaction with the state. To exist effectively, society needs management, it needs power. The political scope of activity is associated with pressure on people to comply with established norms and rules. The content of this world is considered to be the interaction of subjects (state, political elites, people) in order to satisfy people's needs for order, protection, and security. In turn, the political sphere is associated with the implementation of the rights and freedoms of citizens. The components of this circle are political institutions, political consciousness, rights and norms, and political behavior.
Sphere of material production
For a prosperous existence, people need many material items that provide comfort and satisfaction of basic needs. The material sphere of human life is characterized by a variety of activities precisely in the production of consumer goods, without which human life would be almost a threat. This area is often synonymous with the concept of “labor function”. It is possible to highlight the technical and technological aspect and production connections. The first is associated with the use of practical human skills to create various objects and products. And the latter are a social form of labor, something made possible by the production process itself. This area is interesting because within its framework a person not only provides himself with the necessary things and products, but also achieves self-realization and development of his potential.
Scope of production theoretical stock of information
When asking the question of what spheres of people’s life activities modern society contains, one cannot help but mention a special sphere – the scientific one. Since the 17th century, scientific mastery and exploration of the world has become an increasingly important area of application of human intellectual potential. Scientific knowledge is necessary in order to describe the current state of affairs, discover its causes and make predictions. Scientific knowledge allows a person to know the objective laws of the surrounding world. As a field of activity, learning is also an area in which a person can realize and develop his potential , achieve self-realization.Science is also aimed at offering new ways to satisfy the urgent needs of people.
Main areas of life | Balance Wheel | How to evaluate your life? | 8 areas of life
Friends, hello! I published my new video about the main areas of life. In it, I go into detail about each area of life, and also talk about a short exercise with which you can quickly assess your current state of life.
Full video text:
Hi all!
I am glad to welcome you to my blog
In my previous videos, I talked about the fact that our life as a whole can be divided into 8 main areas and that more than 90% of all people are in a strong imbalance in life.
Wheel of balance, wheel of life, 8 spheres of life
Today I will tell you in more detail what each of the 8 areas of life includes,
and we will also give you a short express assessment of your current state of life - which areas are lame, and which areas you devote the most amount of your time to.
You may have heard more than once about the technique of assessing your current state, because it is really very common and is used in many books, seminars, trainings, and so on.
But even if this is so, it will still be useful for you to do this exercise again, because... in fact, it needs to be done regularly in order to periodically stop, look back and look, “where am I now?”, “what have I achieved?”, “what have I spent little time on?” and so on.
So, let's start with me telling you in more detail about each of the 8 areas of life:
1. The first and most important area is Health and sports
It really is fundamental and dependent on other areas, because, whatever one may say, if we have something bad with our health and we feel unwell, then all other areas are relegated to the background - we cannot devote proper time to family and children, we have no desire to study, earn money, etc. I think everyone has experienced this state - being sick.
This area also includes exercise and proper nutrition.
2. Second area - Relationship with family and loved ones
If you are married or have a significant other, then this area is mainly about how you relate to the person who is closest to you. But at the same time, you should not forget about your parents, brothers, sisters, as well as grandparents. How often do you call your mom? How often do you arrange romantic evenings for your significant other? How much time do you spend with your children? These are examples of the questions that should be asked when assessing the second area of life - “Relationships with family and loved ones.”
3. Third sphere - Friends and environment
There is a very famous phrase - you are your environment. Those. who you are now is determined by your friends and your environment. We all communicate with people close to us in terms of interests and values. But if you want to reach a new level, to become even more successful, then you need to attract into your environment those people whom you want to strive for, who inspire you. And of course it will happen that if you are surrounded by successful people, you will also become successful.
I like one very good analogy - if you throw a simple cucumber into a jar of pickles, then this simple cucumber, whether it wants it or not, it will automatically become salty - the same as the environment in which it is immersed.
Another great metaphor is “Whoever you mess with, you’ll get rich from.” I think you get the point.
This area also includes maintaining relationships with your current friends. It often happens that a person works a lot and forgets about friends. Or he gets married or gets married, and family life drags him down to such an extent that he forgets about friends. This, of course, should not be allowed.
4. The fourth area is Career and business.
If you are employed, what stage of the career ladder are you at now, and how satisfied are you with the current state of things.
If you work for yourself or have your own business, then this is, accordingly, an indicator of how successful your business is, whether it has achieved the goals that you set for yourself at the time of its opening, etc.
5. Fifth area - Financial literacy
This area refers to such skills and practices as how to make money, how to save it and, finally, how to increase it.
A very large, difficult, but at the same time interesting area that is not taught in school.
How much
This area is closely related to the fourth area - Career and business, because Your financial condition depends on how much you earn. If you are happy with your career, but not happy with the money it brings, then you need to either create additional sources of income or improve existing sources. But the best thing is both.
6. Sixth sphere - Spirituality and creativity
Everyone understands this area in their own way. We all know that there are 2 parallel worlds - physical (the world of material things, the world that we see with our eyes) and metaphysical (we don’t see it, but feel it with our soul. This is the world of thoughts, ideas, some kind of internal state of a person). And this sphere precisely belongs to the metaphysical world. For some it is religion, for others it is reading esoteric literature, for others it is meditation. In any case, this area is aimed at maintaining order in one’s internal state.
I include a person’s favorite hobbies—his hobbies—in this same area, because... doing what he loves, he does it from the heart, from the bottom of his heart. For example, this is drawing, playing music, etc. Everyone has their own.
7. Seventh sphere - Self-development
This includes everything that is aimed at your personal development, at your personal growth.
The modern education system influences people in such a way that people, upon finishing school and college, feel a great aversion to learning. And because of this, after graduating from educational institutions, many say that “that’s it, I’ve had enough, I’ve had enough of studying, I don’t want to study anymore.”
I believe that this is fundamentally the wrong position, because... it is a well-known fact that there is no status quo. We either develop or degrade.
For example, in sports, if we don’t put stress on our muscles and don’t train for a long time, then gradually the muscles begin to deteriorate. And if we don’t give them some kind of load, they will continue to degrade.
Same with our brain. If we don’t strain it, don’t learn something new, then gradually the nerve cells of the brain (neurons) will die, and connective tissue will grow in their place. Roughly speaking, if we don’t develop, then we, excuse me, “get dumber,” and if we develop, then we get smarter. There is no other option. Either up or down.
8. And the last eighth sphere - Brightness of life
This area includes those moments that are easily remembered, those moments that you always want to remember - these are the bright pieces in your life. Without them, life will be boring and monotonous.
For example, this skydiving, going to a water park with your family, a wedding, go-karting, traveling, etc.
So, now I have briefly described the components of each area of \u200b\u200blife.
Now, let's do a very easy and quick practice exercise.
in order to determine your
current state of life.
This exercise will allow you to look at your life from a great height in order to understand which areas are sagging and which, on the contrary, are prevailing.
Take a piece of paper with a pen, draw a circle on the piece of paper, divided into 8 parts.
Now divide each of the 8 parts by divisions from 0 to 10, starting from the center of the curuga and ending with its edges.
Then, based on the information about each area that I told you earlier, rate each area of life according to your personal feelings from 0 to 10, where 0 is absolutely terrible, and 10 is your current ideal.
Balance wheel with scale
Please pause this video and devote 1 minute of your personal time to this exercise.
So, have you drawn it? What wheel did you get?
Now, imagine that you put this wheel with shaded areas on the floor and try to roll it. Will it roll? Or will he immediately get stuck in the first sagging area of life he comes across?
The vast majority of people end up with a wheel that won't go far.
Let's take, for example, the wheel of life balance of a typical workaholic - a person who sits at work from morning to night, devoting most of his life to his career.
Often, such people think that “now I’ll start a career, earn a lot of money, and then everything will work out on its own.” But with such beliefs, you can work your whole life at work, building a career for yourself, and then realize that you have no family and children, that your figure, to put it mildly, is not in the best shape, that you haven’t even bothered to see the world, etc. d.
The balance wheel of such a person often looks like this:
Workaholic balance wheel, wheel of life, imbalance
And this picture makes it absolutely clear to a workaholic person that everything is fine with work and money, but other areas of life are very lame.
Therefore, first of all, it is necessary to take steps to develop sagging areas of life.
We'll look at how to do this in one of my next videos.
If you liked this video, please like it.
And in the comments, indicate whether you were able to assess your current state of life? Which areas are you least developed? It will be interesting to look at the overall picture.
