Proactivity in psychology: what is it in simple words

If panic helped anyone, it was purely by accident and nothing more.

Wait, isn’t an accident a consequence of current circumstances??? It’s just that if you believe everything that is written by you and me, then there can be no accidents other than natural ones. Putting aside what is not subject to us (nature), there are choices of many people, which together lead to certain consequences (circumstances for each individual).

Gave up - reactive behavior; continued to fight despite the circumstances - proactive behavior.

There are situations when someone is obliged to “give in” so that others can live... and this choice is most often not an easy one, and you still say that this is reactive behavior?

Science can indicate the generalities in human behavior, but there is no way to combine everything into an answer “Yes/No” or “Reactive/Proactive”; there are many situations that cannot be explained, and what “analysts” tell us in explaining such situations is their reasoning with their thoughts, and a bunch of “standard norms” of behavior, which means they can talk complete nonsense based on the “standard”. You know what the problem is with the “arithmetic mean”?

Yes, but still there are still two exits
